Funnest thread! Ughh.
Tonight: Kokopelli, the new tapas tequila bar at 19th and Chestnut. My parents are forcing me to go. Argh. One of the least veg friendly menus I've ever seen, and don't feel like dealing with yet another omni restaurant charging a lot for crepe that probably isn't actually vegan, so I already ate.

My father in law's birthday is this week and we are all supposed to go out to dinner to one of his favourite places to eat......the Outback Steakhouse :-(

Ahhh! My dad took me to Chili's last year. I ate at home, I think that's what you do at Outback too.

Yep. I will basically eat a full meal before I go and then have a side salad or something as my "dinner". My omni in laws would never suffer through a meal at a vegan restaurant, but yet as vegans we are forced to do just that. Kind of sad.

Try coming up to Souderton where I live. There is one very expensive restaurant that says it has vegan meals, but we only went there once and didn't go back because of the prices. Otherwise, you are lucky if you can get vegetarian much less vegan. Also, I work in Doylestown, and believe it or not, there are no vegetarian or vegan restaurants here either.

Went to Chicago over the weekend and the two restaurants we ate at were Giordano's and Cheesecake Factory. This was my first trip as a vegan and I did it! Yay :) At Giordano's they made me a thin crust pizza with no cheese that was LOADED with mushrooms, green olives, and broccoli. I got the Thai Lettuce wraps(asparagus instead of chicken) at CF. The waiter at our table was so gracious and even came over and talked about being vegan. He had tried/failed in the past, but I think that I inspired him to give it another go.
