Anyone use kinect for most of their fitness? It's winter, blah. So no trail walking for me.

We have Your Shape Fitness, Kinect Sports and Dance Central.

I am kind of in love. We've had it since the day it came out and I'm still totally about it.

I like that the fitness one, since I have chronic pain, gives you a test and then bases the intensity of your workouts at a level you can do, instead of thinking everyone is capable of the same thing. I feel challenged but it doesn't cause me to flare unless I push it and do way more than I should have. :P

so it's good? there's no way i can justify getting kinect for exercise since the wii fit has been sitting sadly under the tv stand for a year untouched. but that's cool to know that kinect is fun! does it really work? it's so hard to believe you can just move around it actually works!

We have kinect. Have Dance Central which is alot of fun and makes you sweat. I have Your Shape Fitness Evolved in front of me. It came yesterday in the mail and I am hoping to try it out today.

I also have EA Active 2 or whatever it is for PS3. Its a good workout but doesn't seem to vary much from one day to the next and there's alot of running in place type of stuff which is boring and also caused me to pull my calf muscle bad. I was out of commission for the past few weeks because of it.

I love the Kinect and if I had it, would be getting at least 2 hours of exercise a day. It's totally worth it.

I didn't use the wii much honestly but I use the kinect every day that I can. (limited exercise cuz of chronic pain) But I LOVE IT.

Also, there wasn't much actual movement imo with the wii fit, although I liked the yoga.

By 'does it really work' do you mean is it responsive as a motion sensor? Or do you mean does it help you lose weight?

Yes to both though, just in case. ha.

I've lost 33 lbs since oct 19th with diet and exercise changes. Kinect is pretty much my only exercise, with light walking cuz it's tooooo cold right now.

As a motion sensor, I was scared of it having a lag, cuz I was like "even the news stations still get a lag when they do 'via sattelite' how can this not have one?" but bf said that they had to actual just invent the tech to use cuz they couldn't find anything that was out there that did what they wanted it to do.

So, go them. It's awesome. :) No lag. yay.
