What have you recently watched? I suppose you could also discuss fascinating films about logs, if that suits your taste.

For me (it's easy to keep track with a Netflix account!): Raging Bull, The Sword in the Stone*, Dead Alive (uncut), Shaun of the Dead, Wendy & Lucy, Things Behind the Sun, Where the Wild Things Are*, Lady and the Tramp*, Wall-E*, Vampyr, Happiness of the Katakuris, To Kill a Mockingbird, Chop Shop, Suspiria*, The Exorcist*, etc etc.

* indicates it's not my first viewing.

In addition to the movies in my crepe movie thread:
Event Horizon
District 9
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

I'm not a scifi nerd in general, but there's nothing better than scifi on a boring night.

Ordinary People
A Serious Man
The Duchess

"Ordinary People" was my favorite of the three, but I really enjoyed all of them. I wish I had more time to watch movies :(

Last night, while bored and cleaning/rearranging my room I watched these movies which I am moderately ashamed of...
-She's Out of My League-Kind of sweet. I liked Kristen Ritter's character a lot.
-Failure to Launch-Oh. My. God. So incredibly unrealistic. It was the most ridiculous piece of crepe I've seen in a long time. Matthew Mcconaughey's character gets attacked by at least 3 stupid CGI animals. And at every turn, they're off doing some other unrealistic extreme sport: mountain biking, rock climbing, sailing, etc, etc. Zooey Deschanel's character was the only redeeming thing about it.

Today while fighting the never-ending battle to organize my music folder I watched...
-Shades of Ray-Zachary Levi from Chuck is just as adorable here. He's half-Pakistani, trying to keep his American tendencies quiet from his dad.
-Splinterheads-Interesting movie about a guy who falls for a girl who's travelling with a carnival. Dennis from 30 Rock is in it as her boyfriend.

I don't know why I felt the need to watch 4 romantic comedies in 24 hours. I usually hate them.

No, but I put it on my mental "to read" list after watching the movie. I probably should have read it first, though. . . I often have trouble trying to read a book after having seen the movie version.

Watched Psycho (the Hitchcock one) in class last week. It was horrible. Norman Bates is hot though!

I watched The Runaways this weekend. And I was really freaked out by Kristen Stewart being Joan Jett.

I watched Mad Love (1935) starring Peter Lorre as a mad doctor who sews an executed criminal's hands (who happened to be an expert marksman knifethrower) on a classic pianists who loses his in an accident because the mad doctor wants to steal the pianists hawt wife and then the pianist goes mad from having the criminal's hands on him and in the meantime, he has these crazy urges to throw knives around and hit targets with startling accuracy but can't play the piano any more and is all frustrated and difficult about it and going crazy with the mad hands and honestly, I can't remember how it ended. I was getting very tired, I think and just waiting for it to be over. Not that it was a bad movie, I just started watching it too close to bedtime. Anyhoo.

I am REALLY disappointed with the Halloween selection this October. I mean REALLY!. what the fizzle, networks?! It's ALL the Friday the 13ths and now the Halloween zillogies. Let's have some thrillers, some psychological, some variety!

Its an okay movie if you can pretend the Newfoundland they're talking about is in an alternate dimension!

I watched Why Has Bodhi Dharma Left For The East?, Yojimbo, American Psycho and a lot of MST3K lately, most recently Soul Taker.

Right now I'm watching American Teen.

I hated high school for the drama alone, this documentary is kind of nauseating. People can be such douchebags to each other.

I watched Tell No One (French). I liked, it's a good movie, but a bit too long for me..and a little confusing. It's hard to keep all the names straight and everything (foreign), and the story was a bit convoluted. I liked it, but don't know that I would recommend.

Last night I watched An Education, which has a lot of good reviews. ...I don't get it. It was mediocre. =/
