oh nos, kittee! i love me some tofu pups! this is going to sound really gross-o, but i totally eat them raw sometimes. dan and i like to slice them up and bake them then toss them in mac 'n cheeze with peas. appifanie's suggestion for toppings is an awesome one though. put some chili + mustard + relish on there and you might like 'em. they're also great with other delicious toppings. i love sauerkraut and smashed potatoes on mine!

I've actually never seen them in stores. I'm not certain whether I can find any fake meats here that don't have wheat protein in the package somewhere. Sigh.

Really? Did they change the recipe or something, cuz I think Tofu Pups taste great, and I love that they're gluten free. I made them with an omnivore friend of mine once and even he said they weren't bad.

After searching for tofu pups after this in the store, I realized they are not in the US. I found some gf fake meat though, Dr. Pragers Tex Mex veggie burgers. Which are ok, but not the protien-y meatlike kind of veggie burger- a patty of veggies and beans. I want both kinds of burgers, and the store ones that are veggie and bean patties are nothing better than what I could have made myself :-(
