The light background makes me read everything differently. Like I am at work searching for information about when the new iPods will be released in NZ and only getting weird Apple fan forums as search results.
But I like everything else!

Well, I like the new boards, however, 20 characters are NOT enough for creating a login name! I lost my name! I didn't want to use a number in it, *sigh*.
Also, do we still have the always helpful, and somewhat narcissistic, "show new posts since my last visit" butoon?

No, this is definitely useful, especially for TV show and movie threads and what not! If I can figure out how to implement it (ie, when I feel I have time to google it), I will! Noooo! This is really obnoxious when browsing on a mobile device. It basically renders everything unreadable.
