My beloved 1989 Oldsmobile Boat has been to the doctor (Green Drop Garage, so cool and eco-friendly in SE) and has had a physical. They have renamed it Coffin or Casket and have said it is not worth putting any money into it whatsover. It's a rolling deathtrap. I have to be out in the community a LOT the next two years, and I don't think I am going to be able to swing it on public transit. I need a trustworthy beater car that doesn't have a completely rusted out engine.

If anyone is selling one or knows someone who is, please let me know!

Too bad about your freebie car! I'll keep my eyes and ears open!

Behold the power of the PPK. Erawka found me a car! I had a mechanic check it out, countered the seller's listed price, the seller accepted, and I'm going to get it tomorrow. Erawka, you do rawk!

Dude, you're gonna make me blush. It seemed like kind of a long shot -- I'm glad it worked out!
