My only complaint about the new boards is that they don't adjust for my screen size on my laptop in slate mode, while I notice that they do on my iPad (which I'm on now due to currently backing up my laptop). If I have to live with it, that is not a problem, but thought you might like to know.

I think the "post new topic" and "reply" are too close. I constantly fail at replying because I hit the post new topic. Good thing you have to have a title to be able to post, or else we would have a bunch of weird, random threads in here.

I wish the user names were LARGER and the "online" or "offline" statuses were smaller (and less distracting). I often find my eyes just wandering to the online/offline status and am not able to notice the user names as quickly as I'd like to.

These are things that I have fixed before but for whatever reason the changes didn't stick. When things have settled down a bit, I'll put those fixes back in. They drive me crazy too.

I miss being able to change the thread settings from showing 50 posts to showing 300 posts, for example. I hope that make sense. I'm tired.

Oh, almost forgot my request: twitter username as a profile field. (Who still uses ICQ?)

Can we get the option to delete our own posts?

Hapax Legomenon wrote: Can we get the option to delete our own posts? In short, no. That option exists, and I'm sure there are instances in which it has legitimate uses, but there are also a lot of shitty uses for it. So a good rule of thumb is to simply not say something you're going to regret and want to delete later. If you must, report your own post and a moderator will deal with it appropriately.

It seems that there are a lot of question-type threads in the foyer. How about an Ask/Tell section? My BF is on Something Awful all the time and they have one ( link here). It seems like there are a lot of PPKers that have questions that could be answered in one handy place. Also, there are a lot of posters that have experience in a certain area that some of the other people may not know about. For instance, I work at a Whole Foods. I am constantly asked at work where things are in the store, and I've been to most of the stores in the area, so I generally know where certain specialty items may be. So I could create a post titled "Ask me where things are in Whole Foods", or something to that effect. Yeah, I could just create this thread on my own, but it might be nice to have a dedicated space. Maybe it's just an Ask section related only to getting advice from people who know what they're talking about.

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not, but I used to be able to search for my name in all forums simultaneously. I did this so that if someone quoted me as a reply to something I said, I could find it and reply to them. I can't seem to get the search to work the way it used to, so some poor sap is waiting and waiting for me to reply to their comment to my comment. (Sorry to all you poor saps out there that are waiting for my replies.)
