Do you blog about what you ate the same day or do you do it the next day for VeganMoFo?

It varies. Sometimes the day of, sometimes the next day. If I'm blogging about my breakfast, I have time to do it the same day. If it's dessert that I made, it might wait till the next morning.

For MoFo I try to get them all doen in advance and set on an auto post thing so I don't have to think about it any more! Otherwise, as I feel like it.

Depends on what I'm blogging about - If I've been to an event, I'll probably wait until the next day since I'll probably have gotten home late and still need to make dinner. But if I've just made dinner or something, or if it's a daytime event, I'll do it that night.

I try to do a bunch of posts in advance since work will inevitably get in the way some days. I also need time to think, pick out the best photo, etc. I rarely post the same day I make something or go out.

The past two years I never did anything in advance, which really stressed me out on the few days that everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. I usually keep some easy posts on stand by like pics of the fridge/freezer, MoFo surveys, etc.

Last year, I blogged each night to summarize what I had done that day. This year, I'm making a list of 100 possible topics, and highlighting the ones that I like the most... then I'm going to do as many in advance as I possibly can, so that way I always have a back up in case I am too sleepy to be whimsical and creative that day.

I like to keep things fresh (even if it's my freshly prepared thoughts on something that happened last month, or a decade ago), so I try to never write in advance. It just rubs *me* the wrong way. I suppose something like a recipe could be an exception, totally.

Usually, I get blog ideas as I take photos, or upload photos, and go from there - again, unless it's specific recipe/experience thoughts.

This year, I'm wavering between my VeganMoFo theme being a new recipe a day vs. a food shot from my day.

It will probably be same day for me.

i've been banking up entries with pics, and then go in to type the stuff i want to say later. when i make the final edits, i post. my life is super crazy and i don't get to blog like i used to, but for the past few mofos i post quite a bit.

I try to get a back log of recipes & pic in advance of veganmofo, so I can concentrate on writing instead of creating new things. I probably get half of my posts from things that are a few weeks old. Generally speaking, I post a new recipe a week or two after I'm done with it. I usually do at least a couple of trials before I call a recipe done and I have a spreadsheet with 30-40 in progress recipes at any time.

Last year, I wrote 5 posts on the weekend and scheduled them into Wordpress so they'd go live each day at 00:01 am. That way, I'd catch the early bird Europeans who check the Veganmofo blogs in the morning. Worked well, and I was able to stay on top.

This weekend, I'd love to write 10 posts to cover the first 2 weeks, but that's wishful thinking. I've been gathering photos so I know of 5 things I'm going to write about for sure. Other ideas have been jotted down or still churning in my skull. I wrote my first post for November 1st today; an intro for what to expect for the month.

I don't think I've ever blogged about something that happened the same day. I need time to test my recipes (usually 2-3 times), take food photography, edit my prose, and wait for inspiration.

I guess I'm just a perfectionist. Also explains why I post much less often than I want to.

For MoFo, I have a list of about 15 possible topics for the next two weeks, with a couple rough recipes written out. I already have my first two posts set to publish and I want to write at least one more tonight. School work comes first though, unfortunately.

i usually write in the evening about what i cooked that day, and try to get the post ready to go for the next morning, so i can just spell check it and hit publish. but sometimes i don't have time and i end up writing the next day and publishing later in the day. i always need to give it a little time before i go back and spell check with "fresh eyes" or else i end up with spelling or grammar issues.

I write the day after the event, meal, whatever. Or I write the day of and publish the next day. I like to be ahead!

Normally the same day or whenever I get around to it.

During mofo I tend to sometimes be on the ball and have posts scheduled to go out. But not this year ... I need to step up my game.

NOT when I'm at work. NO way. Just kidding. Exclusively at work.

So far I am blogging the day of but I also have a small backlog so I don't run out of posting material.

I blog as soon as I can after whatever I'm wanting to talk about has happened. I just schedule them to post automatically.

So far I've been writing posts at work, adding the pictures when I get home, then scheduling them to autopost at noon the next day. I'm going to try to write a handful of posts this weekend though so I have a little cushion.

Generally I'll make something for dinner and then post about it right afterwards. But that might change as the month goes on. If I make something good on the weekend I might write about it but not post it until a weekday or something.

I usually work late, so I blog when I get home around 10:30pm. Today I cooked early, so I can cook tonight for tomorrow's entry. /boring

I do it whenever I have time.

I just blogged in the morning, and it kinda blew my mind. It was just a simple write up of a dinner, though.

Whenever I can. On the weekends I've been blogging in the morning, which would probably be the ideal time for me. I wrote two blog posts Sunday morning from photos I took the day before and that worked really well. I have written some posts on weekday nights, but the morning is still better and I like sitting with a cup of coffee and coming up with a post.
