I have aspirations for a butternut squash-sweet potato-lentil-barley soupy stew thing. No recipe though, so it could be interesting.

A gardein chili which I made last night (gardein, white beans, green chilis, onions, garlic, spices, nooch). If I can get my act together, I am making a veganized batch of Jane Brody's Herbed Whole Wheat Rolls (original recipe from her very not-vegan Good Food Gourmet) to go with it.

tacos!
corn tortillas, spicy refried beans with tvp, chopped chard, avocado, and maybe some shredded teese, but they probably won't need it.

I had diddly squat in my kitchen, in addition to A. no motivation to go to the market, and B. seriously low funds, so I'm making a pot of "whatever's in the refrigerator soup." Tonight's version is a puree of potatoes, an onion, a carrot, 2 stalks of celery, a couple cloves of garlic, and assorted herbs (it smells pretty good). The good news was that I had a lot of flour and a couple packets of yeast, so I have bread dough rising to go with it. What we'll eat tomorrow is anyone's guess, but tonight is looking pretty good!

Leftover random things in the fridge- baked tofu and garlicky spinach- and I'm roasting asparagus now. Possibly heating up leftover pasta later.

Butternut squash and green bean vindaloo (based on VWAV) over brown basmati rice, with coconut yogurt and mango pickle. Apple crumb muffins for dessert :)

Its a VWAV kind of night!

Something from the freezer (samosa? refried beans and tortillas?) and steamed broccoli, because that's the only fresh vegetable I have.

I was going to a dinner party tonight but it was cancelled, so I've got no plans and lots of time to try something new. I think it'll be laksa tonight.
