All I take running is my keys which fit in my shorts pocket but my mom is really concerned because 8 years ago a girl was kidnapped running in my town and never found. She's constantly nagging me to bring my phone and pepper spray so I'm thinking about asking for something like this for Christmas so I could at least carry my phone and give her some peace of mind. Do you guys recommend a Spibelt or anything else? And do they bounce or get in the way?

I use a spibelt on most of my runs and I really like it. I usually put my iphone, chapstick, and ID in it. I've found that it bounces for about a minute or two, but then everything evens out and I don't notice it after that. I've also found that wearing it in the front, instead of the back, reduces bouncing.

Yes, I use a SpiBelt. I had issues with ordering it on their website, but now that I have it I love it. I put my iPhone (with my headphones sticking out), my key, and my ID in it. I wear it in the back and have no bouncing issues.

I love mine, and use it at the gym and just waking the dog, too. It can comfortably fit keys, some cash, and an iphone.

I need to get one of these too, having a tough time finding exercise pants with wicking that also have pockets. My friend has an amphipod I've been coveting, but I want to go to the store and try a bunch out to see what I like best.

Never heard of it before but am totes checking it out next time I'm at a store. As for wicking/ technical pants with pockets, lululemon does that really well. I kind of hate their commercial faux-hippy-dippy cutesy brand image and they're a bit more expensive than some other brands, but they do have all those little things, like pockets in the right places, that make them worth it. Very functional. They also tend to fit really well and last forever.

What I like about the amphipod is that you can add/remove components as needed. I usually am doing 5 miles or less so I really only need to hold mp3 player and keys, so I just get my water when we go back to the car. I saw some lululemon shorts I totally want to get when it's warm again. I don't mind paying for quality, but right now I am a size or two too big so I want to find something else to tide me over until then.

I have a fuelbelt. It has four bottles and it came with a pouch thingie, but the pouch is quite small and just fits my keys. I ordered a bigger pouch from Amazon so I can take my phone with me too (I'm paranoid and want my phone with me just in case). It hasn't arrived yet though.
