Does anyone have this?

My sweetheart got it for my birthday today, and is currently busy making me the choco-chai coffee cake, which looks awesome!

Any favourite recipes? I'm intrigued by the bread made in mason jars!

Well I have made the Irish soda bread and although it was really nice (I am Irish so I know what makes a good soda bread) I made the mistake of rubbing the formed dough in the flour leftover in the bowl. Not such a good idea as it was mostly baking soda. Totally my fault but other than that it was pretty good.

The second recipe I made yesterday was the Carrot cake. Oh boy, oh boy. I had to give half of it to my FIL and most of the rest to my neighbours so I wouldn't sit there and ravage it. My missus came home from work and didn't even say hello, just went straight for the cake. Ah love.

Next on my list to make from here is the Boston Cream Pie. Sounds so good.

I love the Bettah Cheddah Biscuits. I'm thinking about tossing in a small amount of Daiya next time I make them, too.

The red velvet cupcakes are amazing, light and fluffy and all around perfect. The best thing by far, thought, was the Chocolate Walnut Toffee Tart. Rich and gooey...save this for when you really want to impress.

I've also been pretty excited that there is a recipe for puff pastry, even though I've been too lazy to bother with it yet. I would love to hear how it's turned out from anyone who has made it.

I try pretty much every vegan chocolate chip cookie recipe I come across, and the Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies in 100 Best Vegan Baking Recipes is my all-time favorite. The Chocolate Raspberry Swirl Muffins are great, too.

I <3 this book. I am not the best vegan baker but everything out of this book turned out fine:

chocolate peanut butter shells
snickerdoodles
apple butter cookies
brownies ( o joes and ultimate)
muffins (blueberry streusel, orange chocolate, eggnog)
banana bread
gingerbread
black forest cake
choco-chai coffee cake
chocolate walnut toffee tart
sukerbolen
desert pizza

...to be continued

I have the precursor to this book, and I love the Boston cream pie (and the yeasted bread recipes). I know this version is filled with even more tastiness.

I got this book from the in-laws for Christmas and so far, have only tried one recipe, which was the cookie recipe (the first one in the book). I can safely say, these are the best cookies I've ever made and one of the easier recipes I've seen for vegan cookies. Highly recommend and I can't wait to try some more recipes.

I make the breadsticks and garlic rolls regularly. The pear gallette = to die for, and donut holes were rockin' 'too.

I made the apple butter cookies today. They were yummy, but spread a little too much.
My sunshine bread took twice the recommended time to cook, but it's still great.

I made the sunshine bread a few weeks ago and didn't need any extra baking time.
Maybe it was the extra moisture in the carrots and apples.

The holiday bread is amazing. I'm going to make it again for Easter.
It makes a lot and freezes well.

I was a tester for her new book - it's fantastic.

I've only made the Boston Cream Pie and the Banana Bread so far. The Boston Cream Pie was excellent. I did modify the custard a little bit. I scraped a whole vanilla bean into it instead of just adding vanilla extract. Yummy! The banana bread was good too, but I think I prefer the banana bread from V'con.

Glad to hear such good things about this book. I have it and the only thing I have made so far is the Cherry Clafoutis - which was so bad, I have been afraid to try anything else.

Oh man I need to get this book out again. So far from this I've made the Chai Coffee Cake, Red Velvet cupcakes, and Blueberry Streusal Muffins. All were really good.

I made that and actually liked it! I had never had clafoutis, though, so I didn't know what to expect. It tasted like a big pancake, and wasn't very filling, so for me it was about 2 servings. I've been wanting to make it again, maybe using raspberries in the summer, and maybe using almond flour to make it fattier and more filling.

Did it taste like boston cream pie? I always loved BCP, but every recipe for vegan pastry cream I've seen contains essentially no fat, which makes me think it can't be good or taste like real pastry cream, so I've been hesitant to try making bcp. I did make the cake part though, turned it into a coconut lime cake and it was sooo good.

This one is actually one of the best vegan baking books I have come across in terms of user-friendliness. Instructions are clear and non-intimidating. Plus everything I've made from this book has turned out really good. The banana cake was fantastic :)

The snickerdoodles were pretty awesome (except, yet again, I had to cook them longer) and I love the banana bread to pieces. I make double batches and make part of it into muffins, though I will say the muffins are a little dry when thawed.

I really like the banana bread in this book but i didn't have much success with the snickerdoodles and sunshine bread. There are still a ton of things that sound really great in their that i plan on making and i like the fact that the recipes use easy to find ingredients.

I've had this on my kindle for about 8 months, but I've just made my 1st recipe today...pumpkin cinn-a-zag loaf. It's really nice, I might add some chopped pecans though next time. It needs something crunchy in it.

I know this thread hasn't been updated in a while, but I need to celebrate this book a bit.

I made the cinn-ful apple cake (yeah, I'm terrible and cook out of season stuff) the other day. It was the second time I made it and I brought it to a study group. Everyone who had some loved it, one woman brought some home for her boyfriend and emailed me within half an hour of getting home to tell me that he loved it, and another person requested the recipe. So, um, result!

I haven't used the book in a while, but a million years ago I made raspberry lime muffins which were devoured by the most adorable 6 year old on the planet, and the cranberry oat bars which I ate for breakfast, because tons of lemon frosting didn't make those any less 7am to me.

Good stuff.

I've only made one recipe out of this cookbook, the orange chocolate chip muffins. They were pretty good but not wow.
