I do this constantly. I was doing it before I found this thread and I'm doing it even more now. Not until I bleed though. I do my cheeks, upper/lower lips and sometimes even part of my tongue. I don't know why I do it, my dad does it so I just always thought it was inherent or something. I have TMJ and this puts a great deal of stress on my jaw muscles but I can't stop!
What is wrong with us!?!?!?!?!

Yes, I used to do it a lot more, and I do it more when I'm stressed. Not usually until it bleeds, though. I used to chew gum, but then I got horrible TMJ. Sometimes I just make a lot of funny faces and lick the inside of my cheek, trying not chew.

I chew the inside of my cheeks. It's an unconscious habit and my dentist always yells at me and tells me I need to stop (because of the above mentioned cancer risk), but I can't help it. I don't bite it until it bleeds, just gnaw constantly.

Hmmm....I have bad TMJ and never thought that could have something to do with it. I know part of it is other factors, but that could be part of it too...today was bad too, I chewed it up without realizing. I wish I could be electro shocked everytime I start to do it...haha

I chew the inside of my cheeks while I sleep. Occasionally I bite them really hard because I like the pain.

When I'm stressed out, I push my tongue against my upper front teeth. There's a teeny tiny remaining gap there which will leave an impression on the tip of my tongue. If I do this for a longer time (most often without noticing), it will really really hurt. Also, it leaves my tongue looking stupid. I had braces when I was a teenager, and even though my teeth look fine now, I always have tooth impressions in the side of my tongue anyway, because there's not really enough room in my mouth for my pushed-together teeth and my tongue.
Doesn't make any sense? Well, nevermind. I know I'm freak show material.

I do, but just my cheeks, and primarily when anxious or especially queasy (which makes me anxious). Right now they're fine, and not really all that chewable because I've not been chewing on them, so they're healed.
