Pretty promising. Awesome gore, good makeup/special effects. So far pretty faithful to the comics. There was one zombie in Atlanta that looked familiar, I'm sure it was a celebrity cameo but not sure who.

Anyway, I'm excited for more.

I can't wait to watch this, it looks awesome. Unfortunately it's not being shown here until Bonfire night, which sucks.

I wonder if the first couple episodes will look good, then suddenly go to shiitake like the comics...

My thoughts exactly.

I saw it... um... at a magical gnome's house.

yay, a walking dead thread! We don't get the channel it's being shown on, so I am going to get my mum to sky plus it so we can have a walking dead-a-thon when we visit at Christmas. I hope it's as awesome as the comics.

I liked it. Nice pacing, could actually have depth (whoa!), sweet visuals. Keep it coming, AMC.

Impressed. I confess that seeing a zombie child shot in the head while wearing bunny slippers felt needlessly unsettling. I don't mind being unsettled by adult zombies.

Good stuff! I actually ended up dreaming about zombies after watching it. So is his wife hooking up with his partner/best buddy now? TOO SOON!! Or is it? Was there any indication of passing time? How long was he asleep in the hospital? I've never read the comic, so the answers I'm searching for may already exist..

Oh man oh man! I didn't even know this existed until this thread! I love the comics and just watched the first episode - they did a great job. They're definitely hitting some deep chords, I'm glad to see something like this happening.

How much of a douche is Shane, though? I've always been kind of peeved by the gender representations in this comic, but I guess it suits for the region they're in. :/

Awesome!! I'm going to paint and watch last night's episode. Zombies must bring out our creative side.

I'm watching it not. About 3/4 of the way through. So far, so awesome. That little kid zombie in the beginning freaked me the fork out. And the half-zombie dragging itself through the field.

The atmosphere is definitely suitably bleak for a zombie apocalypse situation.

Totally worth the time. this is hands down one of the best comics out there and the adaption so far is great. My only complaint is I have to wait for next week.
