81% reporting. Still haven't got half the Waukesha results. Maybe a bit more than half.

Waukesha finally reports. Prosser in the lead. Only about 100 precincts left.

Sigh. I predict a recount no matter who squeaks out here...

yep. And yet I can't sleep.

I suppose it is good to have such a turnout for Kloppenburg.

For all those who stayed up late watching and are still in bed, there are still 26 or so precincts to report with Prosser up by just over 800 votes.

Make that 18 to report with Prosser leading by just over 400 votes.

I assume there will be recounts and absentee ballots and what not but I can't stop watching the very slow updates.

Kloppenburg up by 140 votes, 10 precincts left... but it doesn't really matter what happens today, because there's going to be a protracted recount. Whee!

And yet I still can't stop watching.

Me either! I stayed up until 1:30 in the morning and got up at 6. Still feverishly hitting F5 at Swing State Project's comment section.

5 precincts left! Kloppenburg up by just over 300.

I finally went to bed at 230 and spooned with my phone so I could wake up and refresh the results every hour. And even knowing now that it will go to a recount I am hitting the update button every minute!

And yeah, 300 votes. Craziness. That's the equivalent of one GOTV phone list.

Unofficially all precincts are in with Kloppenburg up by 204 votes. 204! Out of 1.3+ million votes cast.

I am sure, as said above, there will be some recounting but yeah. Holy crepe. Still waiting for official word. AP hasn't updated yet.

I'm just waiting for the Republicans to start inventing instances of voter fraud. Or beating themselves up and scraping backwards K's into their cheeks.

Winnebago County 'adjusted' their vote count today, so Prosser is now up by 40 votes. Naturally, all of the Republicans who were crying and moaning about the Democrats' obvious voter fraud when Kloppenburg was shown to be in the lead are now crowing about their candidate's clear victory.

Annnnnnnnd it's over. Prosser is now officially victorious, having tidied up with a 7,582 vote lead over Kloppenburg due to a clerical error by (you guessed it) the openly active Republican Waukesha County Clerk. Convenient, non? Now the margin is too large to trigger an automatic recount, so if Kloppenburg wants one, not only does she have to put up with fields of Republicans shrieking and pissing themselves about ACORN and voter ID fraud, she gets to pay for it out of pocket! Whee!
