I would love to be in on this! So looking forward to meeting New England vegans :D If we are looking for a more central location, may I humbly submit Bear Brook State Park or one of the others here in NH?

This perhaps a premature question, but is everyone planning to bring someone with them (like a partner, spouse, or even kids)? I'm very shy and socially anxious and I don't have anyone to bring with me, but I still want to come. If there were other potential "aloners" I think I'd feel a little better about it. I have this (misplaced, I'm sure) fear of being the lone girl in the corner who spends the whole time by herself hiding behind a tree talking to a flower. (I feel pretty ridiculous asking this, so please be gentle.)

I would LOVE it if I woke up one day and my social anxiety was gone. That would be just so awesome.

I am not planning on bringing anyone with me other than my dog and anyone that ends up carpooling with me! If you want we can share a tent. As long as you don't mind Gizmo trying to crawl into your sleeping bag while you sleep!

You definitely won't be alone! I can definitely say that everyone I have met from the PPK are really awesome people and whether or not they have someone with them, nobody is going to be left out!

If I'm able to go, I'd be solo. My husband works weekends, and he'd probably make stupid meat jokes anyway. I love him, but he can be a real pain in the asparagus sometimes. ;-)

I'd try to make an appearance if the festivities are close-ish to me. It'd just be big awkward me and my hilarious two year old sidekick.

Okay soo I know we arent planning on going until June but we should pick a spot soon so we can make reservations to be sure to get sites next to each other, or as close as possible. Especially if we need multiple sites!

That and I'm really looking forward to marking my calendar with PPK CAMPING TRIP in huge letters. In permanent marker =)

I am rolling dolo too. I think most of us are. I would be down for a Portland meetup too btw. I am on the MA/NH line but have been looking for an excuse to head up there one of these days.

in terms of a state park, savoy is a good place:
it has a lake
there is no poison ivy (soil is too acidic)
there is white water rafting nearby
right by north adams (mass moca museum + restaurants)

I know I'm kind of a lurker on the boards, but I'd be down (though I am one of the people who'd need a ride!)

However, it'll all depend on the actual dates. I have summer classes for all of May, June, and August, and about half of July... so I'll be busy with all of that...

July and August are completely out for me. I'm taking 15 graduate credits this summer (more than full time) and 12 of them are July/August. But of course definitely don't plan around me because my social anxiety may very well get the best of me anyway. I really want to meet everyone, though, so I'm giving my anxiety a stern talking to! ;)

Not sure yet...We usually stay for a few days. A meetup sounds great! I'm not sure about dates yet but will keep you posted!

hey guys, would anyone be willing to call some of the campsites mentioned here to see about rates? I was planning on doing it, but my life kind of fell in to a vortex of chaos, and I can't do it right now. If no one wants to I can totally figure that out later, but I figured if anyone wanted to know for sure where we're camping that would need to be figured out soon.
