I'm looking for long-ish strips of coconut. My roommate and I are planning on re-creating Memphis Taproom's coconut bacon and we don't want to use tiny shreds. We tried using a veggie peeler on a raw coconut but that method has proved unsuccessful so far. Any tips?

I've tried it before and it's never worked well. I saw coconut strips at Reading Terminal once, but recently went back to try to find them and couldn't!

Has anyone found quinoa flour anywhere other than Whole Foods (so expensive!)?

Can you just buy quinoa and put it in a food processor? That's how I do chickpea flour.
