Do you think these would be okay if I substitute sweet potato/yam for the pumpkin?
Also, if one runs out of molasses, is there something else that can be substituted?

Oh I see the answer to my question right in the comments section of the recipe page. It looks like it should come out great with sweet potato and use almond milk instead of soy milk. Thanks Elise!

Yum, I made these this weekend.
My girlfriend's in the 'hood and coming by my place for tea after her job interview today and I got out some pumpkin muffins for us to snack on. I'm sure she'll love them.
I bet sweet potatoes would work all right and looks like you already found someone with the experience to say so. Enjoy!

I've made these a couple times with banana instead of pumpkin, and they're great that way too. So versatile!

Do ya think pecans go better with pumpkin/sweet potato than walnuts? I have a nice bag of walnuts from Costco. I'll have to go get pecans. Nuts are so expensive!

Pecans and walnuts are basically the same to me, but that really depends on your personal taste.
