I'm not sure if this is the place to post this link to the book My Princess Boy. It's about children and child-rearing (to an extent), but it also touches on stuff we've been talking about in other threads in the Parlor.

I hope positive things come of this. I hope this is the shape of the next generation - little boys unafraid to wear glitter and dresses, and parents willing to let them. So far, the comments aren't so bad.

I need to go put that on my reading list.

I hope it is the future as well. In a perfect world we would all be able to just BE. And I like to think we are getting there.

I just watched the video on the book's facebook site where the family went on that news program. The older brother's comment "just let him be happy mom" made me get a tear in my eye.
