Were her campaigns all for the circus? If so, I don't really think it makes her a hypocrite--clueless, maybe, but not a hypocrite. The circus is a separate issue as far as most people are concerned. Hopefully she is consistent on at least the issue she is campaigning for.
Also: it's PETA. That alone significantly lowers my expectations.

I don't know who she is either, and I can't make myself seem to care. Circuses suck, I'm glad when anyone says it, regardless of what they eat. The nudity is just funny to me now because PETA does. not. give. a. fork. They will put a naked lady on ANYTHING.

The circus ad wasn't her only anti-cruelty campaign. She has appeared at Farm Sanctuary events and even hosted PETA's party at Fashion Week. I don't think it's right to campaign against animal cruelty and then go promote for the meat industry.

But I, and apparently a bunch of other people, don't know / don't care who she is, so it has no impact on our lives anyway. In fact, though if someone close to me was began and then went back to eating meat I might be slightly irritated, it really wouldn't impact my life at all anyway. So feh, it's her loss, not anyone else's.
