Hey, how it going? My name is Ali Tadayon and I run a blog called The Vegan College Student ([url]thevegancollegestudent.wordpress.com[/url]) Let this be a topic for Vegan College Students to interact and say hi.

I'm a vegan college student, but I don't live in a dorm or anything. In fact I stay away from campus as much as possible.

Me too. I won't live anywhere I can't have my dog. Also (vegan) food on campus sucks so I am there as little as possible.

I'm in college and vegan! But I live off campus!

Same. I went out of my way to make my schedule so that I don't have to stay for lunches.

(It seems a lot of us fled the dorms and the corresponding food choices pretty quick, eh?)

I'm a vegan college student, I wish I could live on campus but I won't live anywhere I can't take my partner with me and he's not a college student. ._.

I didn't complain much while I lived in a dorm, but looking back I think its remarkable how I survived without complaint on soup, salad and toast.

I'm a college student (until graduation in December) and I live off campus as well. I was vegan on campus for over a year, though. I loved living on campus and only moved because of the price.

I'm in college, and I live on-campus. I actually like living on campus, for the most part. . . luckily my school is really vegan-friendly. One dining hall serves all-vegan lunches and dinners, five days a week. For breakfast and for meals when the vegan dining hall is closed, there are always several decent vegan options.

Dude, yeah. We had a girl intern at the farm who goes to your school and was talking about all the awesome vegan options making me hella jealous.

I live off campus, as do most of my veg*n friends at my school, but we're working on getting more vegan options on campus because the few there are now are not very good. We're also planning a veg house for next year!

I live in an on-campus apartment so I'm close to everything but I have a kitchen and I don't have to deal dining hall food which is terrible. I spend like half my lunch walking to and from my apartment but it's still worth it to microwave some leftovers. The dining hall claims to have vegan options but they're sketchy since most of the things labeled vegan had cheese on top and and others that appeared vegan gave me allergic reactions and I'm allergic to eggs and seafood.

I know her! Hannah, right? And yeah, the vegan food here is almost always great, and I'm pretty sure quite a few V'Con/VWAV recipes are in the rotation.

I am a vegan college student and I live off-campus (campus-adjacent) but I have a tiny meal plan since I have found that our vegan food is soooo good. I am a bio and computer science major. I go to The University of Puget Sound. I also like communications and psychology.

I'm also a student but I live with flatmates down the road from our uni.

I'm a college student and I live on campus. I like it, and the food isn't always terrible. It could be worse.

I'm a college student, but my school's in the city so there's not really any campus and I don't live in a dorm (I did for a year, but there wasn't a dining hall so we had to cook our own meals anyway). There's a small cafeteria in the building my classes are in, but the vegan options either suck or don't exist so I just pack leftovers or get something cheap from one of the places nearby.

I live off-campus but sometimes I have to be at school from 8AM - 8PM, so if I don't bring a day's worth of food I'm stuck with either salad and PB & J sandwiches, or these weird macrobiotic refrigerated foods that are way overpriced.

Yes, me too. By the way, I never see you, but I'm only on campus Wednesday and Saturday.

I love off-campus with mom and dad to save $$$, and I'm lucky that there are lots of vegan-friendly places in Detroit to eat between my classes. I'm always running short on time and money so I do love cheap and easy recipes that make tons of food!

Im at CU Boulder, and they have a fairly good vegan selection but it could definitely be better. Unfortunately I am on the meal plan so I am at the mercy of the cooks. There is one dining hall that usually has several vegan options but at the one closest to my dorm there is usually only one choice and it is usually pretty nasty.

Ugh, I have the same problem! I'm a grad student, so I'm hauling these ridiculously huge quantities of books and half the time I can barely fit my lunch into my bag! I've seen those macrobiotic fridge foods and they are obscenely expensive so I've stayed away.

I'm really nervous for the second half of spring semester, when I'll be teaching in high school five days a week. I hope there will be someplace that I can keep a lunch, and maybe reheat it or something, because if I can't do that, I don't know what I'll do. I don't think Boston public schools serves a vegan option...

I don't spend any more time on campus than I have to. I suppose that's why I'm a junior and I still don't know anyone there.
