of course, you could also make the argument that loose, light, flowy, earth-and-nature-inspired collections designed by a crunchy portland fashion designer had been done before, too...

I'll watch, because I'm a PR junkie, but I agree exactly. Her stuff wasn't that great (the jewelry was kinda cool) and that one diamond fabric was horrible and her stuff made the model's asparagi look huge. April's line says to me: Kristen Stewart and Ace Bandages. And I just realized I love Valerie - she's just so cute and happy.

UUUUUGGGGGHHHHH! I was SO ANNOYED when they kept talking about how Gretchen had her finger on the pulse of fashion and how she knows what's "now" and what's coming. Um, no. Based on her collection, she knows what is currently hitting the dept. stores, not what's next in the world of fashion! If you're putting stuff on the runway that's already big in department stores, doesn't that make you awfully behind the times? I liked a few of her pieces (her final dress, minus that forked up green leather thing, was really nice, even though it was the 8th piece in that same forking print), and I do think she has talent, but to pick her as a winner was just INSANE. Mondo deserved to win, but I have no doubt he'll get work, and who knows, maybe he and Michael C can have an "on the road..." show like Austin and Santino. Out of all the decoys I saw on Tom and Lorenzo, I liked Michael C's and Michael D's the best. Both were inconsistent, but each had some AMAZING pieces, like this from Michael D: and this from Michael C, which T&L didn't like, but I sure did. Those colors are gorgeous (though I would have liked an opaque top):

Perfect summation. I hope Betsey Johnson scoops Mondo up and they collaborate.

One of them just filled her with glee, you could see it - very cute. And yea - I definitely like Michael C's collection more than Gretchen's - http://tomandlorenzo2.blogspot.com/2010 ... ction.html

I saw a girl wearing a dress with an asparagus flap today! It reminded me of Gretchen and I was horrified!
I'm still a little upset about this... I thought Gretchen's was the worst of the three. I thought Andy was a good second place and Mondo first. I really wish that I could own a lot of the things from Mondo's collection. And Michael C. totally deserved to be in the top three instead of Gretch

He was a potential contestant last season, but got cut in episode 1. I'm totally rooting for him based on name alone. This may change, of course, if he ends up being a total douchebag.
I was flipping channels this morning and saw a PR marathon and got all excited - then I realized it was Anya's season, and I threw up a little in my mouth.

Anyone have any early favorites?
I'm feeling the "goth" lady and the dreadlock lesbian. I'm bad at names.

Oh! I didn't know it was starting but I have PR set to auto-record and I said "oh what is the DVR recording?" and then I was happy. I only watched the 1st hour cause the kid wanted to see it too.
I like Dmitry and Elena and Fabio's awesome voice and Kooan and Ven and Sonjia and Nathan. Ven's red pieces were pretty spectacular.

I remembered it was on late so only saw the runway show and the judging. I was too busy being thrilled that Lorelei was the guest judge to bother focusing on the contestants. That can be next week

Too early for favorites for me, but based on the pre-show thing I have a strong dislike for the girl who came second-to-last. And I kinda love the Japanese guy (who TLo have nicknamed Frokemon).
