I made the Cheezy Mac and the Seitan Ribz tonight for dinner. The Cheezy Mac is awesome and will definitely make the Ribz again.

I made the Q Sandwiches and Dill Potato Salad today for lunch and whoa. They both basically blew my mind. Those are the first recipes I've made from this book and now I'm super excited to try everything else.

For those of you who have made the loaf, what kind of crumbles did you use? I have some Boca ones that really need to get used but the one time I tried them they were so gross I'm terrified of ruining a whole recipe with them.

Smokey Curls = crack. I made up a whole bag and just sat and ate them on the couch. I used maple syrup instead of agave.

Bekki, I used Yves brand when I developed the recipe. They sell it at Trader Joes, so it's pretty easy to find. I haven't tried any of the other brands.
So glad you all are enjoying the recipes!

I used them in this recipe (I thawed them first), but if you don't like them I'd suggest not using them because they are the main component. even though there are quite a few other flavors going on, the crumbles are a big part of the recipe.

I made the Pot Roast yesterday for dinner; it was soooooooo yummy and savory! I was worried it would fall apart cooking on high in the slow cooker, but it firmed up perfectly and the marmite/porcini flavor in it is wonderful.

The skillet-baked panko-crusted cutlets are AWESOME. We've been making the Italian cutlets (but in sausage form, from the Everyday Dish site) for a couple years now and wow, had no idea it was possible to make them even better! Pretty much any of Julie's seitan recipes=LOVE.

I made smokey curls and the cheese sauce to put inside vegan brunch omelets and then the next day I put some smokey curls on nachos and ate them and then the day after that i just ate smokey curls with cheese sauce. that's like...just eating bacon and cheese for lunch. it was good!

I think I'll make it for my parents when they come up for chatter's graduation. I made the cornbread from Guinea Pig's book Vegan Comfort Food.

Does anyone know how I could make the Pot Roast even though I don't have a slow cooker?

I made the chili the other night (with a few variations), and it was amazing. It was really good over a baked potato (yesterday's lunch) and mashed potatoes (yesterday's dinner / today's lunch).

Ok, because of all the rave reviews in this thread I decided I had to get this. I got it for $9 from Borders, yay! I had to order it online because they didn't carry it at my store, but that's good because I won't have time to make anything until I'm done with school anyway. Now I'll have one more thing to look forward to!

The Crispy Banana Waffles are fabulous ! Who knew that adding cereal to waffles would make them extra light and delicious ...
We had a waffle bar for brunch on Monday and the Crispy Banana Waffles and Vegan Brunch Chelsea waffles were the favourites.

Has anyone made the chocolate chip skillet pie? I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of texture to expect.

Boyfriend now loves the smoky mountain cheese as much as I do, and he still eats 'real' cheese. My (omni) mum tried some when she came to visit and she was impressed, too. Vegan, vegetarian and omni approved!
My mum also copied out a few recipes to try, she was most excited about the strawberry chocolate pie. She's making shopping for her upcoming birthday present easy!

I'm making that smoky mountain cheese the second I finally find agar powder.
Today I'm making the chocolate truffle mint pie. Thin Mints were one of my favorite things in the world, pre-vegan, so I think it will be right up my alley.

Julie's recipe for sage gravy looks great!

the gravy was so great. i've never made a good white gravy before! also, i can't eat onions anymore, but onion powder doesn't have the same effect on me, so I'm really loving her recipes because of this.
