I'm boring and old and I don't get invited to parties. Instead, I'm busy doing homework.

Nothing going on here. My hubby and I are hanging at home tonight. He's on call tomorrow, so I'll be spending the nights doing homework and handing out junk food to the kids in the neighborhood.

My neighbor invited me to the Halloween party she had last night, but I skipped it and I think I was sleeping before it even started. Tonight a band I like is playing a bar not terribly far from my place, but I don't feel up for doing anything. So I am going to eat dinner, make myself a vodka drink, and maybe do some wallowing.

It is rainy outside and I lacked the money to complete my costume, hence never started it. Lack of money also contributes to me staying inside. I am combining all my fruity-flavored liquors and peach juice and watching Season 1 of Community on DVD.
I'll make it Halloween-y by putting my dog in her banana costume.

after dealing with too wasted friends--including one of them disappearing- and spending almost three hours trying to get a cab in cold colorado last new years, i am forking done with holidays. I did go to a halloween themed prom last weekend, but no halloween weekend for me! I gave up night before thanksgiving a few years ago, new years I've skipped every other year and will now be skipping for the rest of my life (I hope), so halloween was all thats left. I'm having a nice evening so far.

My friends did our Halloween thing last night. Tonight, the boy and I are staying in, watching Indiana Jones (the only 3 that exist) and ordering food.

Nothing Halloweeny on my agenda either. The husband is at work so I'm just hanging out, per usual.
I finished another pillow today. Took pics and posted the listing on Etsy. Very productive, if I may say so.
I met up with a lady who put up an ad at the food coop looking for musicians this afternoon. It was awkward because she was older than I imagined and she knew my landlord. She also made a face when she saw my tattoos. It was somewhat subtle, but I caught it. And she caught me catching her semi-subtle negative look. I don't think we're going to be making any music together.
After I got back, I was working on a song for my uke but then I saw my balisong butterfly knife looking lonely, so I've been playing around with that. I learned a new trick but I'm bored with it now.
So I popped on here. Will probably be PKKing it up until he gets home.

Halloween is not such a big deal in Austria either. There are a couple of costumey things at some bars, but they're not my kind of party. And this year none of my friends is having a party either. Soooo... I don't have to decide between my favourite two costumes any more? Guess we'll stay in and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas (I can sing and speak all the lines!)

Isn't much to do around here but go drinking and get smashed. While I have a "costume", most of the candy isn't vegan, and drinking isn't my thing. May or may not go to a party, 95% chance of nothing though.

I absolutely love Halloween. I never do anything (dress up, go to parties) but I always stay home and watch spooky movies, maybe drink a couple of beers, make a special dinner. I've been working around the clock for the last two weeks now (weekends too!), but the work I was doing I mailed out yesterday so I'm veeeery excited today about making a miso potato stew, homestyle potato rolls, peanut butter oatmeal cookies, Tami's Salad Not So Nicoise from American Vegan Kitchen, doing three loads of laundry and doing some overtime for work. yes, I'm excited about all this because I've had no time to myself for three weeks. I'm even excited that I might find time to mop my floors! I know, that's how bad I'm hankering for a day to myself with no deadline hanging over me.
For spooky movies, I'll watch what's on TV and if that's nothing good, then I'll watch maybe Race With The Devil and another scary pic from my DVD/VHS collection. I'm excited! It's gonna be me, myself and I and it's gonna be awesome!

I'm not going to any parties this year or hanging out with friends because I've gone over to my boyfriend's parent's house to help clean it out. I don't really mind because we'll probably do something fun tonight. What is sad to me, though, is that we won't even have anyone ringing our doorbell to get candy because it's not very common out here. Maybe we'll go out for a beer and then walk around town or watch a scary movie, depending on the weather.

I had a good time getting ready for parties with my friends, but I had no intention of staying for long at any of the parties. I like the costume/scary movie/candy aspects of Halloween, but not the scantily-clad, grinding-while-completely-wasted aspects of it, which is basically what the parties last night consisted of. My friends and I considered trying to trick-or-treat at the faculty houses on campus, but decided against it since there aren't many young kids who live around here, so we probably wouldn't have gotten any candy (let alone vegan candy). So last night mostly consisted of doing homework and watching "30 Rock" reruns.

My friends are all going trick-or-treating. They've just kinda... lumped me into this. And expected me to be excited about it. I'm really not feeling it, aside from the fact that we're 19-20 years old and I'm gonna end up with a bag of non-vegan candy, I have stuff I need to get done.
I did get dressed up to go see Rocky Horror with my mom last night though, so that was fun.

Not doin' anything here either. I wasn't even in the mood to deal with the neighborhood trick or treaters so I didn't get any candy to hand out and I'm not turning the outside light on! Totally over the commercial madness that is holidays anymore.

I've done my Halloween party hopping the past two nights so tonight I'm staying in with my roommates, ordering Thai, and watching scary movies/Halloween TV episodes.

I had my own kind of fun, geeking out with awesome linguists & Dutch signers at a cafe in Groningen.

I was invited to a halloween party last weekend, and two halloween parties this weekend, and I went to NONE OF THEM! I didn't have time to deal with a costume. The first one I went to a vegan potluck instead. The two last night -- the one my husband wanted to go to (and went to) is chock full of people who treat me like crepe, and so I opted to stay home, crochet, snuggle with kittehs, and watch TV. The other one I wasn't gonna go to alone since it really was thrown by his friends. And it's like 20 miles away and I drive all the frickin' time for work and I hate it.
I do have treats if we get any trick or treaters.

I went to a great Halloween party last weekend. I'm burnt out today and enjoying staying home, getting stuff done, and planning a simple dinner. I'll put a silly hat on when the kids start ringing my doorbell.
