Starts Thursday!! I'll probably be watching on Saturday mornings or something, definitely not on original airdates, BUT I'M SO EXCITED FOR IT! One of my favorite shows, and certainly the only reality show I find worth watching every year.

God I can't wait!

it starts on thursday. squeee!

i'm still irrationally attached to someone who got a home visit last time, but didn't make the finals. i REALLY hope he tries out again this year.

oooh, and i just remembered that alex freakin' wong was offered an automatic spot if he comes back, right?

are they doing all-stars again this year? seeing neil haskell for a whole extra season was the best gift ever.

man, i love this show.

I so loved Alex. I will never, ever forget his hip hop routine with Twitch- I was in awe the whole time. Then I played and replayed it a few times.

I was a huge fan of Anthony Burrell- that is who I thought you were referring to. I really wanted him to make it!

so excited!! Oooh I forgot about Alex being allowed back. His routine with Twitch was amazing! I had the favorite dances episode saved on my DVR for a ridiculously long time so I could keep watching those dances before I finally ran out of room and deleted it. I actually enjoyed the all-star format from last season so I hope they do something similar to that again this time around.

Me too! Then I realized, oh, I can watch them on YouTube! But for a while, you couldn't watch the Twitch routine on there due to copyright stuff, so I kept it on my DVR... along with about 5 or 6 other episodes, but they take up a lot of room!

Oooh, I didn't realize it started so soon! The judges annoy me, but I love watching the dancers, so I'll definitely be watching!

I'm really excited! I'm sad that Adam Shankman won't be judging this season, though. Mary Murphy kind of annoys me.

I was so happy Mary Murphy was gone. She's absurdly annoying.

Not excited that she's back.

Yeah, I really like Mark Shankman and Mary's train business always makes me cringe...

I wonder who the all-stars are going to be? Do you think they'll have anyone from last season? I bet they have an idea of who they want to bring back, don't you think? The audience definitely has favorites, and that brings in ratings.

Spoiler: show
Also, if they're going to send 10 dancers straight to Vegas tonight, I bet we're in for some amazing dancing straight away! I'm sooo excited!

Also, yes, the Mary thing is a bummer. I will be muting or fast-forwarding when she speaks. She squeals too much!

Oh my gosh, Melanie's dance was so beautiful; it made me tear up. I hope she does take Nigel's advice and work on other areas so she can make it!

Mary is annoying sometimes, but she is really quite knowledgeable. I really missed her technical insights on the judging panel last season. It was a bit too "I thought that was nice" without her - I like that she really knows when people have worked hard to get the details right, and when they haven't.

I watched for about 20 minutes and it was great, but not great enough for me to overcome the most annoying judges ever. Ugh!

I love this show so much! I started watching it when I was pregnant with Ruby & I will forever associate it with laying on the couch on hot summer nights with the windows open watching it and my belly move at the same time. I can't wait to be able to watch it when we get back!

and I totally agree that Mary is beyond annoying.

i am fairly immune to mary murphy most of the time (i think randy jackson helps boost my tolerance in the off-season), but i agree that adam shankman will be *sorely* missed. i adore him.
