I love the pink roses, I'd love some peonies in that colour but I don't think I have the space.

Your roses look like mine did last summer when spiders were eating them. I dumped a bunch of baby powder on/around my rose bush, and it seemed to help keep the spiders away.

I love everything else. I'm amazed that you've already picked such beautiful produce.

The potato bags are smart pots, pots made from felt. They provide really good aeration for the roots and can be re-used. If you're really crafty, I'm sure one could be sewn with heavy duty felt.

Yep, that's rainbow chard and dino kale. I'm pretty sure that slugs are eating the roses. Spiders aren't fans of eating foliage, just bugs.

tomatoes before the move (around 6/25)
Image
DSCN3925 by [url=http://www.flickr.com

I'm going to miss my star gazer lilies:
Image
DSCN3928 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

the zinnias were starting to bloom the day of the move:
Image
DSCN3927 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

greens are insanely easy in containers--the chard has been crazy big!
Image
DSCN3923 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

this is the part of gardening season that gets me all excited: tomato blossoms!
Image
DSCN3922 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

my friend victoria let me move my garden to her house. look at the size of that tomatillo plant! i'm guessing it is 4 ft. tall.
Image
DSCN3981 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

silly me, i didn't label any of the tomatoes this year:
Image
DSCN3980 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

blossom end rot on the plum tomatoes. this was the only plant!
Image
DSCN3976 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

another shot of the plums. i had to toss 4-6 fruits because of BER:
Image
DSCN3975 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

the beginnings of a gold medal tomato:
Image
DSCN3977 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

striped romas!
Image
DSCN3973 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

even my sickest plant is covered with fruit!
Image
DSCN3972 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

out of order: this was my garden space before moving:
Image
DSCN3936 by jewbacca2011, on Flickr

those tomato photos were from a few weeks ago. i'm heading over to victoria's today to take some more progress pics. the heat has been awful in IN.

I would miss the lillies too, they are my favourite flowers.

And I am jealous of your friend's tomatillo plant!

Amazing container gardening! I'm lucky if I get weeds and basil.

The tomatillo was mine. I say was because it became so huge it split in half and died. Sniff-sniff.
