We spend most of the summer visiting family, so we aren't home enough to plant a real garden outside. This year, I decided I had to do something, so I planted a few of our favorite herbs, sweet red peppers and tomatoes. This is what I ended up with:

The herbs are doing surprisingly well. I've been able to make pesto twice, so I'm super excited. The cilantro is doing okay. I don't know if I over-planted or what, but it's all droopy. Last year, I bought a cilantro plant from the farmers' market and it was nice and tall. Oh well, at least mine is still producing I guess. The parsley I bought from the grocery store, because they had organic herbs on sale super cheap and I couldn't pass it up. The peppers took forever to sprout, so I'm not sure if they'll do anything. Plus, I had them outside last week and they blew across the patio. Oops. The tomatoes (not pictured) grew like crazy and I already sent them home with my mom to transplant!
