Here are the beginnings of my garden! Plus a wildlife tour of Omaha. Basils! English thyme and lemon thyme Strawberry patch Some chard. More herbs...lavender and lemon verbana. I'm calling this my cookie patch because I'm going to make shortbread with them. Picnic table! A view across the fence. Birdfeeder starring house finch and lilacs on the other side. BONUS!!! We found these two snaked intertwined by the picnic table!!!! There are bunnies everywhere all over Omaha!

Your garden looks great! I wish I had a clean slate like that, and a balcony/deck!

You have a beautiful yard and garden! Also, I read cookie patch as coochie patch and wondered why there was no garlic.

Watership Down!! Good gardens are rich in biodiversity. Snakes, birds, frogs, and toads are awesome living garden accessories.

bunnies! I had a bunny once who thought it would be cute to escape past the screen door of the house and into the garden. boring story even more boring: he ate every single strawberry plant down to a nub.
That was the only time I successfully grew strawberries, gone in an instant!
Your garden is super cute! I wish my grass was as weed-free and fluffy as yours. Doesn't it just make you wanna run around barefoot out there? Oh yeah, snakes.

Yeah, the snakes have been inhibiting me quite a bit.
I'm kind of bummed because I'm realizing I'm not going to get my garden as awesome as I wanted to because of travel and lack of time. I'm having major garden remorse!

aren't they just little garter snakes? (hee, i put 'snacks' at first, yikes) i love those! and they're harmless.
very envious of all yer purty plants, lady. i just planted some stuff for the first time in my life this afternoon. we're wondering if the bunnies will eat 'em all.

THEY SHOULD BE HARMLESS. I MEAN THEY LIVE ON EARTHWORMS AND STUFF. THE MOST AGGRESSIVE THING THEY COULD DO IS TYPE IN ALL CAPS.

I know they're harmless to most, but these ones want to kill me and they will find a way.
