A few of my friends did a thing Thursday night, but I was ill so I stayed home. Nothing else is going on. The closest I'm getting to Halloween-y is watching NMBC and eating pumpkin soup. Scary!

It was lovely & sunny here today so I did some essential Autumn gardening, my favourite time of year to be in the garden. I was still planting out winter violas into my window boxes in the dark and it was so mild and relaxing. I made more space in the garden for Poppy so she's thrilled (removed a temporary fence).
I came in and had a bowl of home made soup with a dirty big packet of crinkle cut crisps and am now showered, fresh pjs, in bed with Pop and about to wash the conditioning treatment off my hair and maybe watch "The Others" at 9 o'clock. i can hear loads of fireworks & bangers but the hairy weans are all mellow & happy, all in all a lovely Halloween so far :)

I feel guilty now. I couldn't find the silly hat, and trick-or-treaters came to my door. When I opened the door, right after the chorus of "trick-or-treat" I got "didn't you dress up last year?" from one of the little girls. The silly hat has been located, and I will now be a more worthy distributor of candy.

I'm not. I have to work. The wife is working, too. I locked up the porch and am turning off the light before I go to work. I feel Grinchy.
I'll totally make up for it next year. I <3 Halloween and I hate missing everything.
