I know the last few seasons haven't been too spectacular, but I thought this weeks Halloween episode was great! The opening scene with Stanley had me crying.

I've liked this season so far! I don't typically laugh out loud when I watch it alone, but oh my god the costumes. Angela's, Erin's and Gabe's were the best.

I agree with you, both about this season not being that great, and the Halloween episode being surprisingly great. I especially loved Gabe (that's the new-ish, nerdy Sabre guy's name, right?) as Lady Gaga.

While I liked some of the Halloween episode, I did not like that Jim dressed up as Popeye.
The Jim costumes of Halloweens past were so much better.
As a staunch Jam shipper, even I am over her begging and him caving.

the Halloween opening was amazing. i've already watched it again on Hulu. also, not to change topics, but the Community zombie episode was hilarious.

Agreed! The Office has been weak recently but this week's was hilarious. I love Darryl and I'm glad they've made him more of a regular character this season.

Also, did anyone else pick up on the idea that Darryl might take over the office when Steve Carrell exits? It seemed like they were plugging that idea, no?

Loved the opening! I actually haven't been too dissapointed with the past few seasons, which surprises me. I was so scared it would go downhill after the baby was born, but I actually really like that (small) storyline. I've come to learn that The Office can never let me down.

I had also heard that Rhys Darby from Flight of the Conchords was being considered, and I think he would be dead hilarious!

what are people's thoughts on the new guy? i'm not really digging his character.
at the beginning of the season i thought they were making it look like kelly would take over because she took that executive training.

I think Gabe is awkwardly precious, although I'm not sure I buy him and Erin as a couple. I feel like there wasn't enough build up to them. And I think Mindy Kaling has a development deal with NBC and is possibly getting her own show at some point? I think I remember her tweeting something about that.

I hope Andy takes over. He's my favorite character anymore.

Yeah, I thought ~seasons 5 and 6 were meh, but this season has definitely been good. I kinda wish Ryan and Kelly would go away at this point....same ole. I love Andy. Why was Packer in the meeting, though? He's never in the office.

I assumed Packer was there because the whole drivers-selling-paper thing affects how the traveling salesmen (Danny and Packer) will be doing business.

Because that would be awesome, and he would be awesome at it.
