I just gave my police statement. A guy and a girl came up from behind me, grabbed my arms, threw me onto the street, grabbed my bag, headphones (from my head) and forced my ipod out of my hand. I'm not hurt- bum cushioned the fall. 'm really shaken though....

My favourite part? When the police officer said "I'm not saying it was your fault.......but"

i was mugged a few years ago in the hall of my apartment building, and the cops made me feel bad, too, kind of implying that i was a dumbpants for being alone at night in that neighborhood. hello, i was alone in my own hallway. i shouldn't need pepper spray for that. i hope you're really all right and that they catch those forkers.

So sorry, glad you're okay though. A couple friends and I were attacked by a group of girls passing us on the street on the walk home from the bar one night. It was very scary, it all happened so fast. I heard a woman being attacked at my school during the day by my campus, and then this other woman came into my work recently warning me to be careful because she was mugged near my work and her laptop was stolen. Scary stuff, I can't help by be paranoid and always looking over my shoulder. Be safe, big hugs!!!
