Did anyone else catch the premier last night? I like Daphne and kinda want to slap Bay...The acting was good, I wanted to see if some of the cast was actually deaf (Emmet played by Sean Berdy is and Daphne played by Katie Leclerc has Ménière's disease).

I saw it! I really, really liked it. I think it's a show that could have gone either way. I also liked the acting, surprisingly I like the acting of Bay. I hated her acting when she was on Gilmore Girls. I also like that the show is going to have a strong deaf presence. A lot of people don't understand deaf people and their culture.

I can't wait till the rest of the season.

I disliked her on GG a lot more!

I just read the zine Deafula - so it was cool to have a bit of background on ASL and deaf culture.

It was ok, but I don't know how far they can really go with that storyline before it gets old. Emmett is adorableness.

This show is my new guilty pleasure! I caught the second episode and enjoyed the brainless hour, but the parents are kinda starting to annoy me, Daphne's biological mom in particular.
Several of my friends take ASL classes, so it was cool to talk to them about the deaf culture. Apparently it's quite different. I hope this show doesn't get stale too quickly, but that depends on the power of the writers I suppose.

I really kind of like it. I also don't hate Bay (hated her on gossip girl, but that wasn't her fault). Its sort of strange to me that everyone wants to be involved in Daphne's life but Bay's bio-mom has shown little interest in her other then that conversation while she was painting.

Tonight's episode was so good! And I was finally able to catch episode two, because I missed that.

I'm really liking Bay and Daphne's mom's relationship. It's getting more developed but still not as involved. It's interesting.

I am shipping Emmett and Bay so hard right now. I'm really starting to like her, and Emmett is all types of amazing.

The minute she wrote Bay down, I was like, "She knew..." And I got really sad. I can't wait for the explanation of this next episode. I was starting to like her a lot, I hope it wasn't something awful.

In other news, my ship is sailing! I'm confused about Emmett's thinking on deaf/hearing relationships. Is he basically saying he doesn't want anything serious with Bay?

Yeah, it might be something like that. Bay yelled something along the lines of "You did it for you!" in the next episodes preview. I'm not exactly sure how it'll work. It's going to be interesting. It could also be that Regina did the switching and the dad left because he couldn't deal with it.

I only caught the second half hour, but, man. I don't hate Regina. I thought I would at the end. She made a tough call, but she really did raise Daphne right. She didn't want to lose her daughter, and she bettered herself to do so. If she would have come forward, the Kennish family would have taken both of them.

Totally. And they kept asking her "why didn't you say anything"...to who?? Before she knew about Bay, at least, what exactly was she supposed to do, drop little Daphne off at the hospital or something? I think the PI part is a little shady...still. I don't hate her.

I hate the kitchen scene were Daphne says she is a veg who eats shrimp basically...Rich mom can't make her long lost daughter something veg to eat?

Caught last episode night. Emmett's mom is being kind of mean, but he's being perfect. Ugh, love triangles are never done properly. I don't have much hope for this one.

Yeah, I don't like that she said she eats shrimp. Why can't they just call her a pescatarian.

The finale is tonight! It looks intense.
