So I am watching this for the first time in a week or two, and I just saw Raquel Castro for the first time. I thought to myself, Cute! She looks just like the little girl from "Jersey Girls" (which I reviewed back in the day for a paper!).
She just said she was in it. hahahahah. Can't believe it!
I missed it last week, but I just finished watching this week. I'm nonplussed. And Christina Aguilera is annoying.

i thought two of the duets tonight were awful (as in, terrible harmonizing or hitting bum notes), and nothing super exciting, except maybe that kiss. heh.

ooh, love that! she's adorable. although, i thought they kind of made an overly big deal of her heartless cover last night. kris allen did it 2 years ago on american idol (on guitar, not piano, but still... very similar arrangement) and it was a little more groundbreaking then. still, she's great, and i really like xenia's voice too. those are the two i'd keep from blake's team.
christina does look great! but wow, those shorts. i couldn't stop staring at them; they were a funny shape or something. on her team, i'd save frenchie and i'm kind of meh on the other three. bev(?) is so frickin' cute, but i'm not really moved one way or the other by her performances.
i thought it was pretty hilarious when blake's team covered a maroon 5 song. and i ALSO thought it was hilarious that they played all the 'dirty' lyrics, when i'm so used to them being blanked out on the radio. heh.

I missed this??
I also could not stop staring at the shorts/legs! also see: boobs in blue dress
Raquel: Not my kinda thing, but I think she's doing an amazing job to be the artist she wants to be. I think she has a good voice, and she did a pretty good performance
Beverly: Yeah!!!!
Lily: There's something about her I don't like? (maybe the mirror jacket?) not my favorite
Frenchie: Yeah! Party!
l o l @ Blake and Maroon 5 song!!!!!!!!
Dia: Love her!!! I love her voice and her look, and I think she's extremely talented.
Jared: Eh. He's pretty good, but doesn't have it to win? He looked so confused when he was talking to the V correspondent lady!!
Xenia: So cute, but not quite ready to win this competition. Great voice!
Patrick: Something about that song makes me feel weird, but great voice. Smooth.
during the 'keep her coming every night' part, jared even did a pronounced hip thrust. blake shelton sang the other part (the 'pressure on your hips' verse). i certainly wasn't scandalized by it, but i thought it was amusing given the PG rating of the show and the fact that the radio stations always seem to have a hissy.

But I think I literally missed the performance! I just watched the show on nbc.com, and don't think I saw that? The judges did a performance at the beginning, Christina's team did the moulin rouge thing, Blake's team did Maroon 5 ... ?
oooh, i misunderstood, heh. yep, the show started with the coaches butchering some queen songs, then they did a bunch of solo performances, somewhere in there they dropped a christina/team performance of lady marmalade, then more solo performances, and somewhere later they dropped in a blake/team performance of this love, then a couple more solos.

Just watched this first time a couple nights ago. It was like watching karoake! As in, the singing was pretty bad, with a couple people who actually had good voices. I was just amazed at how much praise the bad singers got. Xenia should not be on here. Her voice is good, but she's way too dang shy. You can barely hear her voice. Dia is freakin' adorable. Blake's team singing that damn Maroon 5 song was hilarious.

I agreed with all the picks until Blake chose/saved Xenia! What the heck!! I wasn't huge fans of the 2 guys, but they are both better than her. I get that he wants to see her "grow," but geez. No one like blew me away, or anything, but still some good voices.

Seriously. I thought Dia was pretty bad and boring compared to everybody, so I was already annoyed that America chose her. Then, Blake gives a wack asparagus reason for his pick.

dia framtpon has the #12 single on itunes. i do think its kind of unfair because she already had a following before the show. meg and dia have been on the warped tour 2 or 3 times. still, she's my favorite so i am happy. i didnt think xenia deserved to go through.
Team Christina: I loved both Beverly and Frenchie. Beverly was reminding me a little of Screamin' Jay Hawkins with her expressions. They are both so talented.
Team Cee Lo: I didn't love Vicci's performance even a little bit. Love Nakia, even though the song was ecch.
Team Adam: I was really expecting Javier Colon to be amazing, because he's been incredible thus far, but I didn't love his song or performance. Casey did way better than I expected, so I am confused. I was thinking the final would be Javier-Frenchie. Now I'm not so sure.
Team Blake: I'm not loving Dia. Something about her is feeling inauthentic to me. Xenia is super-talented and adorable, but still shy.

When Adam was talking to Nakia and he was like, "I've never heard that song but I'm pretty sure you sang it better than the original," I was like OH HELLS TO THE NO. I like Nakia as much as the next girl, but please, Adam Levine. Puh-lease:
ok first, how has adam levine never heard that song? id never heard the script song and thought it sucked so i understand that one. i didnt love vicci's performance either but the judges had a big boner about it because she ran around the stage. i think frenchie has a great voice but it's very show-bizzy. not that there's anything wrong with that, i just dont like it for this competition/these songs.
