I bought a bag of fresh ginger from the market to cook with, I've made a couple of things and still have 14oz left. Normally I'd make ginger beer but I'm not drinking alcohol at the moment. Besides that and grating it then freezing in handy spoonfuls does anyone have any good ideas? Sweet or savoury, I don't mind.

Non-alcoholic ginger beer?

When I had access to a juicer, I'd juice it and shoot it by the ounce. Good sort of burning.

Ginger ale! I saw on some blog the other day someone who made ginger paste and then mixed it into sparkling water whenever they were in the mood. Easy ginger ale, seems like a good idea. Sorry I can't remember which blog, though.

Ginger tea
if you have a juicer my fave drink to make is carrot, apple and ginger. So good!

Carrot, apple, ginger juice is also my favorite juice.

I am another crystallized ginger supporter. Plus, the sugar syrup you boil the ginger in gives you ginger syrup (which I posted about in the food forum recently).
