Is there such a thing?
I know you can get specialist vegan marshmallows by post, for a very high price; but is there a brand carried at supermarkets, or otherwise commonly available/reasonably priced?

in short, no. not that i have ever found. all commonly available (i.e. supermarket stocked) brands contain gelatine.

I think that Goody Good Stuff are supposed to be releasing vegan marshmallows very soon! In the meantime, if you need marshmallows by post for slightly cheaper, you can get Sweet Vegan seconds from Ebay whilst supporting a pet rescue. Just search for vegan marshmallows.

this is what they told me when I emailed them to bisque (nicely!) about the fact that their non-fizzy gummies aren't vegan when they easily could be. I was told that they were bringing out vegan marshmallows in 2011 in maybe November 2010, so I assume this must be happening quite soon!

Did they give you a good answer to that question? I want the non fizzy gummies to be vegan SO badly!

I haven't eaten marshmallows for years but when I was buying my sun cream from vegan stores I decided to get some. OMG they are SOOOO delicious....

I always get the seconds bags from ebay, as the person who sells them does so to raise money for greyhound rescue. I just checked though, and she doesn't have any for sale at the moment.

You could always do a package swap with someone in the US or Canada?

Not really! They were just like 'well these ones are vegan so suck it up' (heavily paraphrasing there btw!), which was really repeating a lot of my original email back to me. I mean if there's caranuba wax, does there really need to be beeswax all up in there?!

The fifth ingredient in those marshmallows is gelatine, which makes them not even vegetarian, let alone vegan.
