I'm an OnPoint member, love it to pieces. The missus uses it for her business, as well. Absolutely no complaints.

I am with Rivermark CU. I went with them initially because they had the best interest rates around. I don't know if that is still true though. I really like them.

I love OnPoint! I've been a member for 10 years. Only bummer was when we tried to get a mortgage loan last year they would only finance on my income and not my husband's (the big banks wouldn't even consider us) but we got a gov't loan with a way better interest rate anyway (and of course Wells Fargo bought it right away - forkers!).

I'm with Rivermark. It's a surreal difference in customer service vs. BOA.

i don't like on point because they previously partnered with countrywide financial (predatory lender run by orange-colored evil bankster supervillain). content with rivermark.

I'm one for Rivermark! I get interest on both my checking and saving! I got a whole $0.10 last month! Woot! :o)
For real, I've never had any issues. (Except I wasn't aware that if you don't tell them you're going out of the country, they suspend your Check Card when you try to use it. It was explained to me that they started doing that because there was a lot of fraud/stealing going on. So I don't mind.)

I'm with Unitus and I really like them. Never had any problems. Only downside is that there aren't very many branches.

I love Advantis. I also use Oregon Community CU and am happy with them except they closed all of their Portland branches. They are based out of Eugene

I had this exact question, so thanks for asking it, celyn. Did you make any decisions yet? And thanks for the input, everyone else!

I love OnPoint. They are nice to me and depositing checks in the ATM machine is fun and fast (no envelopes!).

Advantis all the way!!!
Just switched from Wells Fargo, best decision ever. They have this thing called Fusion checking where if you meet four requirements each month (use your check card 12 times, have one automatic payment or direct deposit, log into online banking once, and receive electronic statements - all things i do anyways), you get 2% interest on your balance and up to $25 of ATM fees refunded. Regardless of if you meet the requirements or not, there is no minimum balance and no service fee. Plus Advantis just gave a bunch of money to local groups, including the humane society!
They are super friendly, have some decent locations (I use the Belmont and Downtown ones all the time), and I just did a personal loan with them (to pay off my Wells Fargo credit card) and it couldn't have gone smoother.
Keep in mind that the transition from the convenience of big bank to small bank takes a little getting used to - pending transactions don't post online as quickly and the website needs a major upgrade. But I feel so much better about breaking free. Good luck to you!
