Anyone know of a place in Philly or the surrounding area that serves up a bowl of vegan pho? All of the Vietnamese restaurants I've been to use chicken or beef stock in their vegetable phos. Thanks.

I was wondering this myself so I did a quick google search. Vientiane at 47th and Baltimore popped up in a random user review and so did Ong’s at 11th and Race. I can't vouch for these places at all (I hadn't even heard of them before) but it might be a good starting point to investigate further.

I can't vouch for their vegan pho (vho?) but Vientiane is a great little BYO joint. It's a bit of a hike for city-peeps but it's easy to get to on the bus/trolley.

Now I want some vho too.

Ong's is no more. I have not been able to find vegan pho in Chinatown (or anywhere else in the city for that matter). I was super psyched when we got a Loving Hut, since all the LHs I've been to have pho, but ours doesn't. We should ask then to start offering it!

I live right near Vientiane so I will investigate the vegan status of their pho and report back.

Vientiane's pho is vegan. I have never had it so I can't comment on how good it is or not, but if it is like any of the rest of their vegan menu, it's got to be good!
