I'm a little stung because I check petfinder more than the average person who isn't planning on getting a dog should and I've always had my heart set on this one dog named Riley and one day she just disappeared from Petfinder. I'm sure she found a home because she was in a foster, but she'll never even know how good she would've had it here! bisque

This is how I got my mother to adopt two 12yo dachshunds.

1. Email petfinder link.
2. "Mom, they look so sad!"
3. Mother tries to find a friend who wants dachshund or two.
4. Mother is unsuccessful
5. Dachshunds have new home!

I got my mom to adopt a petfinder dog I'd found by posting it on facebook and threatening to commit suicide if someone didn't adopt it. Like a charm.

I've met her in person and she is so so SO sweet and gentle and adorable. And soft.

She's an older dog and it makes me really sad to think about her maybe spending her last years in a shelter. Even a nice shelter. I hope someone adopts her (and her sister!) really soon.
