I'm going to stop by the Palo Alto farmers' market before we meet up. It's in downtown PA. I'm not sure how big it is but I thought I'd check it out: http://www.pafarmersmarket.org/If anyone wants to join me, it's from 8-12 and I'll be there around 9:30 or so. Also, if anyone wants a ride there let me know.

Hey everyone, I'll be 10 min. late, the train gets in to PA at 11:00 and the restaurant is a 10 min. walk from the station.
See you tomorrow morning!

I am glad that we all got to meet - it was great meeting you all! Let me know when this happens next time and I am totally down.
After some searching on twitter, I think its quite possible that we did see Steve Jobs - he apparently frequents the place.

Just thought I'd say a quick hello. I'm in the South Bay, but not the one in the Bay Area. There's a South Bay in the LA area, too, and that's where I live. There isn't a SoCal sub-forum in the Square, so this is about as close as I can get. So, hi!!! ...And I apologize already for all the exclamation points.

It's not the Valley; it's not the westside; it's not Hollywood or Beverly Hills; and it's not hipper than thou east LA. It's where the rest of us live, work and make our lives.

I'm down for that weekend! It seems like perfect weather to be outside. Anyone into doing a potluck picnic? Or if that sounds like too much work I'm also happy to go to a restaurant.

Ha, ok glad you're with us! Where's a good place for a picnic? I've been to Hellyer Park in San Jose - it's nice but there's fees to enter and to use the picnic area. Shoreline Park in mountain view is nice but I don't think it has picnic tables.

I've heard Alum Rock Park has a lot of picnic areas, but I've never been there to vouch for that info

I'm thinking there wouldn't be a fee at Hellyer if we walked in, but not sure where there is to park nearby - I biked in on the coyote creek trail and didn't pay a fee. I've been meaning to check out Alum Rock- sounds like there's free parking but it goes fast. $5 if the free lot's full. Want to try that?
