I stopped by Karmavore and they aren't doing anything for world vegan day on monday, nor are they moving on monday. She said the move date got pushed back and that the new store would be opening sometime in November.

PR...I'm so sorry, the radha pictures were obtained pre-my leaving my old laptop outside in the pouring rain!

Also, have you guys been to On The Edge pub in Gastown? My friends told me they have a vegan menu.

Where are they moving to? Not that I get the chance to go there that often but I guess that makes me knowing where they actually are that more important, especially when I make trips from Victoria just to go there >.<

There was a veg meetup there in June, but I was out of town for it. The boy went but it's kinda hard to get a vegan food review out of him - he just talked about the annoying people who showed up to the meetup :) I've been kinda wanting to check it out though. Guys? Maybe next hangout?

I mostly agree - bad service, mediocre food, fewer vegan options than there should be - though I find it passable in some situations. It's a good enough place to eat with omnis, is close to where I live, has decent beer options and you can linger for a good long while without getting asked to leave. Probably because they've forgotten all about you.

Ha! Couldn't agree more.

Hey all - I'm a newbie poster and am celebrating my 1st AnnaVEGANversary on Movember 1st!

Recently had a long, sunshine patio lunch meeting at The Local in Kits (http://www.localpubliceatery.com - Cornwall & Yew) and devoured the most amazing Organic Veggie Burger I've ever had in a pub. Sans cheese and it was scrumptious.

Stoked to now have real options at obvi-omni pubs. The Five Point (http://www.thefivepoint.com) also does a yummy vegan burger w. yam fried - mmmmmm!

Cheers,
E.

Vijita - I heard the Edge closed down! I was there once for drinks after already eating dinner somewhere else and not knowing about their menu. It was nice, but sketchy sketchy part of town, not somewhere I really wanted to hang out after dark.

Josh - I saw the Pho Central all covered up and had a mild panic attack until I read the sign in the window. Phew.

Happy World Vegan Day tomorrow!

Hrrm, I really liked it when I was there and thought I remembered the menu being mainly vegan?? That was probably 1.5 years ago...maybe it has gone to shitake since I went...Total bummer because I always think of going there when I am on the mainland.

I do seriously miss Naam. That place is rad!

Much of the menu appears to be vegan at Foundation, but honey makes an appearance more than it should. And the bacon contains eggs. Found that one out after neglecting to ask. My own stupid fault.

I'm doing movember this year, my page is at: http://ca.movember.com/mospace/897588

the whole 'cancer' thing is overly near and dear to me, and I'd really appreciate if you could flip a couple of coins in my general direction. honestly, it's a good cause (shiitake, it started in Melbourne - how could it NOT be good? :P)

You guys. I have decided not to come back to Vancouver in January. Not to stay, at least. But I will be there for a couple of days ~Dec. 18-20, so we should plan something fun! I want to see you guys again!

My friend who's living there now is actually thinking of staying! That would be very, very convenient...

And yes, you'll have somewhere to stay in Europe. But you're still coming to Japan, right? RIGHT? I will support you for movember if I see you in Japan.
