I hate mind-speak and people who speak for themselves and/or use their brain. HATE IT! If more people start doing this, I might have to leave the PPK.

This thread kind of proves my point about this board. Look at how much energy has been used in the past half hour to speak against the person who suggests that people use common sense and eat proper food. It doesn't really matter that I came off like a jerk. I posted this thread in the complaints forum. It's a complaint about this board. This is where it goes. And I'm using the complaints board to make a point. I still don't understand the need for all of the pointless sarcasm.

You clearly don't know this board. I'd be bold enough to say that the majority of the people who use this board make vegan food that is whole, and "proper" as you would describe.

but it does matter how you come off. that's the point i think people are trying to make. tone matters. and it's not really fair to say that you merely suggested that people eat good food.

I guess the part that confuses me is that everyone else is supposed to be 'smart enough' to not actually use chicken broth... but you're posting non-vegetarian recipes on a vegan form and not being 'smart enough' to replace the word 'chicken' with the word 'vegetable.' Wouldn't that have been easier than a) getting all upset because your posts were deleted; b) an overly dramatic and accusatory swan song*; c) getting all upset because people are making fun of your swan song?

* I don't actually think any other sort of swan song exists; this statement may be redundant.

I had zucchini for dinner.

I locked your thread because we had to move the last one because you made a pretty big deal out of being asked to not post non-vegan recipes. We don't have a lot of rules, that's one of them, and clearly you had been made aware of that rule. And as its been said, we can all look up non-vegan recipes to sub for on our own. If someone was like, "Recipe for cool whip-esque topping!" and I got really excited and the contents were, "this isn't vegan but obviously you can sub this this and this"...it's kind of annoying. If you've tried it and you're like, "I based it on this recipe and I just removed x and subbed y and it came out awesome!", That's another thing.

Continue with your flounce if you must.

I think that you are protesting a bit too much given that you are watching this thread so closely. There is a safe place where you can express your opinions and control the feed back. It's called a "blog."

Being a jerk is evidently okay but sarcasm is not? Come on, grow up if you are going to play on the big people internet. A simple request was made - don't post non-vegan recipes. That's not really asking a lot of you.

It would take you like 2 minutes to change the recipes you posted to be fully vegan. Why not just respect the integrity of a vegan forum and make the effort to post vegan recipes instead of starting a thread to flounce and cause pointless drama? Talk about needless expenditures of energy... And in regards to your complaint about processed food, have you even seen the food porn subforum? There are countless wonderful chefs on here who not only cook from vegan cookbooks, but who come up with and share recipes.

This forum may have plenty of sarcasm, but it's a positive, creative, and compassionate place. All I get from your post is negativity and flounce.

there are a number of "complaints" in your first post.

i just want to be clear about one thing: the posting of nonvegan recipes is not acceptable here. if you have questions about whether a recipe is okay to post, please PM me before posting it. (i don't imagine you'll have those questions, but, you know, i'm just putting it out there.)

with that, i'll leave you to deal with reactions to your first and subsequent posts in this thread. just keep it vegan, people!

It was a link to another website. I can't change their words. This is another example of what I'm talking about. I can't believe you couldn't figure that out on your own.

1- Keep recipes and food porn vegan. This is a place to celebrate vegan food, please respect that!

Kinda self-explanatory. Just respect the rules, that's all. Instead of posting a link, write out the recipe, making appropriate subs where necessary. Not that difficult. :)

Sameness, sounds like you need a HUG. A big, big HUG.

Yes. Also, and i'm repeating but whatevs, it doesn't matter if you think our rules are dumb. We told you once, you called half of the mods names, I didn't see the point in going through that pointless action again, so I simply closed the thread. If you want to crown me Queen bisque of Self-Righteous Veganville, i'll send you my head measurements so you can have the crown sized. No one or their partners or their boca burgers did anything to you.

Are you guys trying to be the next MBM/brian? Next you'll be sitting next to each other bantersulting one another on Twitter after one of you steals the other's shoes.
