Hi friends, After hearing all awesomeness of AFR book, I bought my copy 2 days ago and I'm so excited to start now (I know I'm late). I know a very few recipes, i.e. Chickpea Picatta, 40 Clove, etc from AFR but what else is really good or must try?
Any favourite recipes/recommendation from your experience. Many thanks!

The tamarind tempeh, pea soup, baked falafel, everyday chickpea quinoa salad, white bean trattoria salad, the romesco salad dressing are my favorites (at least today). The pea soup is one of the few things my dad has ever flat out requested that I make. It is so quick and easy, but amazing. I love the thickened leftovers in a pita with some couscous.
Actually, I tested for the book and the only thing I didn't love was the red wine and kalamata tempeh, bt that was because I marinated the tempeh so long it got drunk, and I don't like olives. Everything else is so much win you can't go wrong.

The everyday chickpea salad is really tasty, but I use the goddess dressing because I like it better. I make a big batch of the salad, mixing everything together except the lettuce. It is also good served on baby spinach or mixed greens. There is also a thread on AFR with lots of suggestions: viewtopic.php?f=32&t=657

ive made a bunch of things from that cookbook and they were all good.
our favorite (and sorry i cant remember the exact name) is the caribbean black eyed pea curry with plantains.
we also like the red thai tofu, and mango baked beans or something like that. i did the apple miso tofu and that was good the first time around and a little bland as a leftover

Almost all of the dressings are phenomenal. (I think there's a miso-scallion one I didn't care for.) My favorite is the Cesar Chavez, which I could eat like every single day.
The Arabian Lentil and Rice soup has become one of my ultimate go to dishes when I am feeling lazy and need some super comfort food with minimal effort.

I just made the Quinoa Puttanesca last night and it was so flavorful and yummy. My partner raved about it too and he was already asking when I am going to make it again!

I made the pasta e fagiole last night and it was sooooo good! My husband usually only like past and beans because someone else cooked it for him, but he raved about it!
Next time may add a bit of red pepper flakes, just to spice it up a bit more. Besides, don't red pepper flakes go with everything?

Thank you friends for your inputs. I appreciate it! Yeah, I've already checked that AFR thread and it's little fussy to filter only recipes only. It's mix of all conversations and it's long thread about 72 pages...but I do check time to time and have tagged few recipes as well. :)

I have seen many people who prefer to follow this book as a guide, even I have made many recipes following this book and each and every recipe was fantastic, this is the reason why I always recommend the people to go for this book, but the only thing I found difficult while I purchased this book is doesn’t know which recipe to prefer. Since Even you are beginner I suggest you to go with the list provided by Lavawitch.
