I love the moisturizing shampoo/conditioner from trader joes. It sucks that i live so far from TJ's that I can't use it all the time. I am going to have to look into the stuff from Sally's Beauty Supply.

Nature's Gate herbal shampoo and jojoba conditioner. I only wash my hair 2x a week, max. I also use Aveda BeCurly. I have found this combination of products to work better on my hair than anything else I've tried.

ETA: I've tried Renpure too, and while I love the way it smells, it tears up my scalp. But I'm glad to see something like that in grocery stores and places like Walgreens.

I use mostly John Masters Organics when I can afford it. The conditioners have transformed my hair and they smell so delicious. Most of their stuff is vegan, but a few skin and hair products have honey or beeswax. I really love the Evening Primrose Shampoo and Citrus and Neroli detangler. The products can be pretty pricey, but I really feel like they are worth it. Oh, and JMO also actively supports a no-kill shelter in NYC.

ETA: Jason's shampoos and conditioners are also really nice, especially for the price!

I love the Lush solid shampoos. My hair's short, though, and I have never used the stuff on long hair. (Hopefully it'll be good as my hair grows out.)

When my hair was longer (and dyed) I used Pureology products. They're really awesome. I went through a period of dying my hair way too often, and the only thing that kept it from completely breaking/falling out was the Pureology leave-in conditioner. I noticed my hair faded less after dying when I used that stuff as well.

Aveda! The boy and I have a deal- I keep my hair long, and he doesn't question what I spend. They do my color and everything!

Seconding Pureology. It just works really, really well, and you only need a tiny bit. I think cost-wise it evens out, because a bottle lasts such a long time. Really good quality.

Same here..Pureology all the way. Been using them before I went veg..one of the best products I know. Their products do last a long time for me and especially since I don't wash my hair everyday. Def worth every penny!

Seriously, I bought the giant bottles before my move to Vienna and I think they may last a year.

I like the Trader Joe's Nourish shampoo, though I sometimes get the citrus kind. The fact that it's cheap is the real selling point with me. And it smells nice. I have pretty low-maintenance hair though.

Aveda (one of the 4 sulfate free ones), John Masters Organics or Kevin Murphy

I recently started using Tate's shampoo and conditioner. I highly recommend them. They make my hair feel awesome, and, like Dr. Bronner's, they each have a zillion other uses. Just be careful; they offer two shampoos, and only the unscented one is vegan. The other has honey. It's hard to spot in the ingredients list.

The guy who does the voice of Tom Servo makes shampoo?? Awesome!
(Yes, I'm kidding. Unless of course it is the same Kevin Murphy...)

I'm in love with Giovanni. I'm almost positive that everything they make is vegan. I usually get my shampoo and conditioner from Vitacost.

I just started using Giovanni Smooth as Silk shampoo and conditioner. I was looking for something with no sulfates to see how my hair reacted, and my co-op had it in bulk. So far, I'm liking it a lot, and it seems to be doing good things for my super long hair. It smells nice, too!

I've been using this, too. I got it in huge bottles at Marshall's. I'm liking it as well. I had been using Aubrey's Organics Honeysuckle Rose stuff, which I loved at first, but after awhile it wasn't doing much for me. Plus it was expensive.

I use Aveda. For shampoo, the price is very competitive with most vegan shampoos (I'm in Canada, so I'm sure I have fewer options than many of you) if you buy the large (1 litre) bottle and get one of the basic ones. The price can more than double for the specialty shampoos. The prices varies a lot on the conditioners, too.

I use blue malva shampoo for my greys and rosemary mint shampoo because it smells good and is one of the least expensive ones.

I'm using the Argan Oil shampoo and conditioner right now. I colour my hair and find the shampoo is okay, but the conditioner isn't that great. I find I have to use lots of the conditioner. Both the shampoo and conditioner don't last as say Pureology or Aveda.

i mostly use lush shampoo bars and the jungle conditioner. but for my birthday my friend gave me shampoo and conditioner from the salon she works at. the company is abba and it says 100% vegan in big letters right on the front. it's been really nice for my hair, but i'll probably go back to my lush stuff once this runs out.

I bought a conditioner from this company because it said 100% vegan on the front of the tube. About half way through it I read the ingredients, and it contained bees wax :(
