Weekend plans

I figure we should have a thread for making plans together for weekends, if that ever can happen.

I will start.

I want to take a workabreak on Saturday and see a matinee. I have many movies I need to see before they leave theatres, including but not limited to:

At the Bridge/Rave:
Friends with Benefits
Crazy Stupid Love
Captain America
The Change-Up

At the Ritz:
Beginners
Midnight in Paris
Sarah's Key

Tell me things.

I really, really, really want to see Sarah's Key! And Friends with Benefits. And Crazy Stupid Love.

Sorry CQ, the only change I might make to my goal of seeing a movie tomorrow is making it 2 movies back to back. (I did 3 in a day once. Awesome. I also did 3 musicals (2 Bway 1 offBway) in a day once. Awesome.)

Why don't you like movies/in theatres! They are the best part of America! See your movies in theatres, people! (Otherwise I can't pay my rent.)

What is with all of your significant others not liking movies! Well I'll be your surrogate too :P
So tomorrow luftpost and I are seeing FWB (I'm so hip to the now) at 2pm. Dynah next weekend yes? :) I decided that I have to see a movie every weekend because 1) that's what I want to take work breaks for; b) I need to take breaks; and iii) I am soo behind on my movies.

I would do the 3-musicals-in-one-day thing. I just don't really like movies enough to sit still and watch them and not be able to pause if I have to get up and pee in the middle. If I really want to watch a movie I would rather rent it or download it and watch it in a comfortable seat and be able to pause it whenever I want. With a live show, at least I'm getting an experience that I wouldn't be able to get in my own home.

How come you can't pay your rent if people don't go see movies? Doesn't being a lawyer pay your rent? I'm so confused. (as usual)

It is okay if you like to do things I don't like to do. No judgment. :)

If you decide some weekend to go see a play or do something else though, you know where to find me :D

when we go see a movie at the ritz i vote we get ice cream at franklin fountain after.

That was so good! I enjoyed "Friends With Benefits" much more than is healthy, methinks. Loved it! After how disappointed I was with "Bridesmaids", I'm so happy I actually laughed a lot at a new movie.

So Elli (starttodaywithx's) and I decided that next Saturday is Crazy Stupid Love - if it is still playing. Right now it's at the Roxy...which means convenient for soft-serve!

Great idea! I would be down for this next weekend too, if CSL is out of theatres or if it's on Fri or Sun or if people are down for 2 movies 2 ice cream fests. Also if I decide just to give work another f you.

I hope CSL is still in theaters next weekend. Sarah Kramer FBed that you get to see Ryan Gosseling naked. I would most definitely pay $10 to see all that.

I really like that place! I used them to cater an event I had at school and the catering platters are INSANELY huge and relatively cheap. I got 5 of them because I figured, given the price, it would be necessary. I probably needed 1.5. Anyway. That's a little story. :) I hate saying the Rave too! I will try to stick to my guns.

We missed you Lauren! We have to try again soon! Especially since Dynah and I were just sitting and chatting at Pure Fare waiting for Elli and then we finally decided to order the softserve, only to then be told that they didn't have it today. No! That better not happen again or I will make signs.
Also the movie was funny and cute but the final 1/3 was kind of slapped together. Not as good as last week! I need to see The Help next.

Why didn't they have soft serve at Pure Fare??? It was a Saturday afternoon, they should have had backups of soft serve waiting for us!

I am bummed I missed out! For the next 2 months my Saturday morning are consumed with 14-20 mile runs. Ugh. But I am hoping to get an earlier start so I can join in with the movies. Especially because soft serve + air conditioning sounds amazing.
