But I did like Joss' comments at the end of S8, so I'm hoping for a better S9. Though, really, trying to read S8 has mostly taught me that I hate reading comic books (graphic novels are fine!). Canonically, I do reject that one death that happened in S8. In my mind it just didn't happen. But I also love comic books and graphic novels and would be happy if all of my favorite TV shows were continued in comic form by the creators/writers of the series. And I am allowing myself to be excited about S9, since it seems like Joss does understand where he went wrong with S8.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to going back to a more Show-like feel.
I dislike comic books because they are too short, and then you have to wait at least a month for more!

I will probably never read Season 8, so I do read all your spoilers. And I'm sorta glad I'll never read Season 8--I'm like DangerZone, my head-canon is done when the TV show was done.

I tried to add everything that happened in season 8 to my Buffy timeline, but I just can't. Also, reading the comics sparked a rewatch and I think season 2 Xander might be the funniest. I just fell in love with that character all over again even though he's a dick at the end of the season.

So, I'm like, 4 or 5 comics shy of finishing season 8. I had to stop reading because of Spike's entrance in some sort of crazy contraption - he's some sort of prophesy keeper? I'm only on Season 3 of Angel so I think that's reference to something that happens in later seasons. I'm figuring Angel being Twilight isn't hinged on anything that happened in Angel, necessarily. I don't understand and haven't decided whether I'll finish Angel before finishing reading it. Probably not though. I'll probably go back to reading it tomorrow or something.

I'm doing a full re-watch of Buffy for the first time ever, not counting catching the occasional episode on LOGO, or youtubing scenes (I now own the entire series! Yay!). I was really young (and probably shouldn't have been watching it in the first place) the first time, and therefore not able to fully appreciate how much of a stud Giles is. I might officially have a thing for older men. Or, you know, just Buffy men in general.

I haven't read any of the comics yet because it is not a format I normally love and I really like the way the series ended. But knowing that they are out there, I eventually will.

Some friends of mine are insisting that Jane Espenson's S9 Spike comic is fantastic. I'm debating whether or not to read.

I really want to unload my Angel comics, I have almost the full run (I stopped after the Juliet Landau written issue), and I will seriously send them to anyone willing to pay shipping. The might all fit into a large flat rate box.

I really liked the way season 7 ended. It was hopeful. I read an overview of the season 8 comics and my reaction was something along the lines of "what the fork?!" and I think I am glad I didn't read them. I might eventually come round to the idea but I don't know if it will happen.

I'm glad that Dark Horse has the Angel title now because we all know what a steaming pile it was at IDW.

I totally forgot Felicia Day was a potential! She's so adorable and awkward, as usual.
My favorite part of rewatching the series with my boyfriend is that every time Giles takes off his glasses and gets all tough Chris says, "hellooooo Ripper". I think he has a man-crush on Rupert.
I've debated reading the comics, but I think I'm going to avoid them for now.

So I already have a theme for MoFo, but I was thinking how much fun it would be to have a Buffy themed one. So if anyone wants to do that as a group project, that would be cool. The third issue of my zine was supposed to be Buffy themed so I already have a lot of ideas to contribute.

That sounds fun! Maybe I'll trade one of my Mandy Moore movies for that.

Loves it.

Ha, that's awesome. One of my professors is a Whedonite and it's the best. She's referenced Dollhouse before and last week she compared imagery in a Plath poem to the Gentlemen.

Riley is 50% more tolerable once he gets rid of that part.
Guys, AV Kelly just powered through Bad Eggs. Give her e-hugs.

RIPT is reprinting the Singer Salvage shirt Friday, for those of you who missed it first time around! The image is huge, and I'm too lazy to resize it, but here's the link: http://ih.constantcontact.com/fs080/1102594619542/img/257.jpg
