Okay, I know it really happened in Virginia, but I still think the earthquake was caused by the devastating news that there will be canollis at grindcore tomorrow.

oh man, i'm home from work sick. but I might just travel to sphilly for a cannoli. So, i'm guessing grindcore gets their vegantreats delivery on Wednesdays as opposed to Thursdays? Interesting...

Well see here's what happened: I was sitting in there today and some guy was like, hey I got some canolli's for you tomorrow. I don't know if that meant for the store of for the specific person. They do get their Treats on Thursday as far as I know - I was in there last Thursday and they did indeed arrive that day. So, I guess it's a your mileage may vary situation or something.

What did the guy look like? If he was pretty cute & heavily tattooed, I'm pretty sure he meant canolli for the store

But yeah, that was probably the guy. I don't see any canolli, but he might have said tomorrow but meant Thursday. I'll post my daily report again tomorrow.

Please keep us updated. It's a bit of a hike from west philly, especially when you've got bronchitis, but i'm willing to go the distance for a cannoli. I know VT just started making them, I might just try to order a dozen and have them deliver to Govindas or wherever I can pick them up from. Or maybe I can ask Ming from newharmz to order some? I'm a woman on a mission, damnit.
I wonder if they are icing filled (anybody remember when Giannas used to make them yeaaars ago? -they were icing filled) or if they got some sort of ricotta-ish (read: less sweet) filling. This would make all the difference.

OK, so cannoli will definitely be arriving at grindcore today. But only a dozen! Well, 11, 'cuz one is totally miiiiine. The order will probably be in sometime between 1:30 and 3pm, fyi. There will also be the usual selection of many doughnuts, cinnamon buns the size of your head, cakes, etc....

Hopefully closer to 1:30 because I'm sitting here waiting and I can only nurse this bottomless coffee for so long and I'd really like a cinnamon bun the size of my head. Mind you, I have a HUGE head, so I am prepared for some amount of disappointment.

philadelphegan, i think i have figured out who you are!!!
diana, they're made by vegan treats. chris started working two new jobs recently, so he hasn't had time to bake lately.
so, the cannoli. really good. i love the flaky pastry! and the creamy/fluffy insides. not too sweet, just lovely. i've never had real cannoli before, so i don't know what to compare it to. there were only 3 or 4 left an hour ago, so they're probably gone by now. more will be ordered next week, for sure.

I feel like such an under-tattoo'd square when I'm in there. Anyway. My name is Warren, if you want to say hi next time you see me! I imagine I'll be in there regularly, though slightly less-so once I unpack my dang french press. P.s. the cannoli: wonderful. Now I'm looking forward to having a donut next time. ETA: P.p.s. "under-tattoo" -- the underpants of tattoos.
