I'm driving to Durham area for a wedding (staying in Durham, wedding's in New Hill), and then, I am going to Lexington, NC the following day on my way back from Philly. THe bride was thoughtful enough to request a vegan meal for me and my boyfriend, but unfortunately, it will be pasta and vegetables (do American wedding caterers ever get more imaginative than that when faced with vegans?). So I think we'll eat dinner in Durham before we go to the wedding. Next day, we're briefly taking his nephew to Lunch in Lexington and don't have time to travel very far from there before we have to head back. Any one know of restaurants in Durham and Lexington? I looked online for Durham at happy cow and triangle veg society, but no place is particularly sticking out from the descriptions. Online, I found nothing near Lexington for vegan options.

There are quite a few places in/around Durham that have vegan food!

Check out the websites/facebook pages for Bull City Vegan Challenge and Triangle Meatless Mondays. They should have a long list.

Also, I think it's the first Sunday of the month? ( I haven't been in a while) But the Pinhook (music venue/bar) does a vegan brunch, which is amazing!

If you have time to drive to Raleigh (~30 minutes), the Remedy Diner is awesome. One of its sandwiches (the tempeh tantrum) was just named one of the Top 5 vegan sandwiches in the country and it is very much deserved.
