Vegan Mofo 2011! Coming in October...

This will be my inaugural MOFO. I just started blogging in September last year and I'm excited to participate.

I'm thinking about blogging a week of casseroles from my childhood. Does anyone remember the one that consisted of frozen mixed veggies and cheese whiz, topped with tater tots? Was that an original creation? Did I just admit to eating this?

I want to participate this year. Hopefully I will, but the program I'm in at school is really time-consuming. If I do, I'll probably do a vegan series of Puerto Rican and Guyanese food that I've missed. Cultural mishmash!

I'm in, no theme at this time. This year I vow to finish! I start pretty strong but lose it quickly. But this year I'm gluten free...

I never had that one but my mom made this hot dog casserole that was potatoes, onions, and hot dogs and it was so awful and smelled so bad that my dad and I would cringe when we smelled it cooking. It was horrible.

I'm in! This will be my first MOFO. I just started a food blog a few weeks ago, only one post so far, but mofo should fatten it up!

Is a theme something most people do?

Hmm, maybe I'll do a Beans & Greens theme. It fits my criteria for healthful & cheap. And it rhymes, which is always important.

I'm thinking about cooking from magazines for the entire month, I've got a crapload of them I'm meaning to go through and this is the perfect excuse.

I haven't even looked through the whole RSS feed from last year! I'm in, possibly with both of my blogs (gah). I liked having weekly themes last year, so that will probably be the direction I go in.

Woo hoo! I don't have any themes in mind yet, I just want to try to do better than the last two rounds since I didn't post as much as I did on my first try. I have a few more weeks to figure it out and stock up the cupboards.

Ok, I'm in the dark. I missed out last year, was a pretty new vegan at the time. Is the registration form for Vegan MoFo out yet? If not, when will it be? Thanks! I've been blogging a lot of food the whole time since last year on Peaceful Table! xo

Not yet, hopefully soon!

You don't have to have a theme, but as usual there will be a list of blog prompts (suggestions) that you can use. I've never done a theme myself, but I think it's neat when people do them!

Oh awesome, I can't wait to read your blog during MoFo.

I want to do it again this year, I need to have a think about a theme. I managed to post every day last year but I'm going to have very newly tattooed fingers in Oct which might make it difficult to cook or type...maybe I'll post a letter of my finger tatt's each day for the first week & give a prize to whoever guesses what vegan related thing I've written on my fingers first!

I'd like to give it a go this year. I missed out last year and made a poor showing the year before. Time to revive the ol blog. I do nothing but take care of the new baby and cook so I should have some things to talk about. No theme though. I'm going to get started now though because this little munchkin really demands a lot of my time hehe.

I fell off the wagon towards the end last year, but I'm definitely interested in giving it another shot. I haven't decided on a theme, but I think it'll revolve around the glory that is The Sandwich.

I am keeping a few themes from last year, so yes to the tablescape. I just have to figure out if I will do double duty at both the panda blog and the Vegans on the Move blog.
