ok I love Cheerio-type cereals, but my options seem to be thinning. Actual Cheerios still have D3, right? And I used to like Cascadian Farms Purely-Os but they added a lot of sugar and D3. Anyone have any low or no-sugar options they've tried that they like? I like a real strong oat taste, and minimal or no sweetness.
Are Trader Joe's Os vegan? I thought they might have D3 too but haven't checked.

I wonder if maybe the Whole Foods version is vegan? Sorry, I don't know!
The Vegan TJ's list says the following are vegan:
Bob’s Red Mill Flaxseed Meal Fat Free Blueberry Muesli Flaxseed Golden Roasted Flaxseed (Whole Seeds, With Blueberries) Natural Toasted Oat Bran Organic Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal Organic Granny’s Smith Apple Granola Organic Mango Passion Granola Organic Oats & Flax Shredded Wheat

Cheerios in Canada don't have D3, do you have any friends that could send you some? :)

Found it: http://www.naturespath.com/products/col ... &nutri=Allyeah thanks, I tried that one and also found it too crunchy, and also a bit too sweet. I'm super duper picky about my cheerios I guess.

hmm I know I bought vegan Oatios at WF. also, I'm not sure how up-to-date TJs keeps that list, because they have a new "Organic" type of O's that dont have D3 in them. I buy that type of stuff only for my toddler, so I've been buying the Organic Os...

I was just at TJ's yesterday and of course forgot to check. I'll look for the organic ones next time I'm there, and check the regular ones too.

So I have a box of Joe's O's in my pantry because I'm still learning a lot of the sneaky ingredients that aren't vegan (AKA if it isn't obviously an animal product, I still don't know what most of those things are). It says it has vitamin D, but no number. Just... D.
Could someone please explain what's with D3? Thanks!

crepe, crepe, crepe, crepe! Cheerios aren't vegan? I've never even thought to read in to the little stuff once I saw there was no eggs, milk, or anything. Gah, I feel like such a cruddy vegan.

bumping this old thread to report that I've noticed that Whole Foods has a new (?) line of 365 Organic cereals that includes a cheerio-like cereal, and none of them seem to have any added vitamins which means no D3! Finally! I haven't picked one up yet to try but will soon.

It was somewhere around $2.99, which is much better than the $5 or so I was paying for the Erewhon stuff (combined with Dandies, those were some seriously expensive Rice Krispy treats!).

Ooh! I will have to get that crispy rice one next time I'm at WF.
Barbara's Hole & Oats are cheerio-ish and vegan. And have the added bonus of sounding like Hall & Oates.
