ABC Family has done it again: another ridicules teenage drama! Was I the only one watching? It has hot guy who left for boot camp from Switched at Birth!

So glad there's a thread for this! I really like this show so far, but I love mysterious plots involving twins. Also, for those who don't know it, this series is based off of books written by the same person who wrote Pretty Little Liars.
Travis is so freaking creepy. Is Emma going to end up trying to steal Sutton's life? I know she'll end up with her boyfriend (well, probably). I'm very curious about these "lying games"

Haha I had no idea this show had aired until a friend told me that she watched the first two eps, so I found them online and watched them yesterday. I didn't know which night or time it comes on (and I don't have cable--just my darling Hulu), so I googled and shared the love with you guys!

Yes! ABC Family is now one of my favorite channels (even though I don't have it). GREEK! Pretty Little Liars! The Lying Game! CW is like ABC Family's twin. It's like these two channels know me so well. I'm not a teen, am I? I'm not lame for liking this stuff, am I?

I dunno!
I'm glad that Mad's dad knows about Sutton/Emma now, because the outcome of that should be interesting. But it also seems like he might know about the adoption scheme, so that's no fun. WAIT, what if HE is the daddy?! And that's why he had the laptop planted in Ethan's car? Because he wanted the bad boy to get away from his daughter?
Ethan is looking cuter now; I think because his hair has been changed.
YES! Emma+Ethan! Drama!
I don't drive, so I can't get to Modesto, but that would be so fun

I want more Ethan & Emma drama. Mad's dad is creepy - if he is not the dad he does have some role in it, I don't know what though.

My thinking is that Creepy Daddy had an affair with someone from the wrong side of the tracks, so he had to get rid of the evidence (twin girls!).
Yes, more Emma & Ethan drama, please. Although, Sutton might have dibsies on Thayer now. (in high school, my best friend used to call dibs too, and she would do it on 5 guys at once--if a girl made a move on one of the guys, she'd go off on the girl-even in front of the guy!)

Hahaha I think you might have been the one who commented on the names in the PLL thread, and I knew people with all of those names. I ALSO know a Thayer (preppy honor student in school)!! Haha all these names seem normal to me.

I'm just watching ep 1 now and I have the other 2 waiting to be watched. Sutton reminds me of Elena from TVD and Char almost reminds me of Hanna from PLL bastah wrote: I'm not lame for liking this stuff, am I? No way! missmuffcake wrote: ...I watch teen dramas, read YA books... Me too ;)

Are either of you on Goodreads?bastah wrote: Kitteh wrote: Sutton reminds me of Elena from TVD and Char almost reminds me of Hanna from PLL missmuffcake wrote: ...I watch teen dramas, read YA books... I haven't finished the ep, so maybe Emma will seem more Elena-ish to me, but because so far her hair is tied back, she doesn't as much as Sutton. And yes, we could all get together, paint nails, watch teen drama and have the best time. If only we all lived near each other! bastah wrote: GREEK! Is this the show you mean? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0976014/

I wonder why the godfather is not telling that he knows about the switch? I wonder what is up with the fire...

missmuffcake wrote: I wonder why the godfather is not telling that he knows about the switch? I wonder what is up with the fire... My thought is that he might not be completely sure about the switch. Maybe he thinks he saw Emma with Thayer? That seems like the more obvious answer then him just assuming it was Sutton with him. Yeah, I wonder if the fire was intentional. I understand if Mr. Mercer had an affair and "adopted" one of the twins, but ten what would Mr. Mad's Dad have to do with that? And if Mr. Mad's Dad had the affair, then what would Mr. Mercer have to do with that? Just hiding his best bud's secret so that the missus doesn't find out? Gotta be more to it than that. The title of this show is The Lying Game. Does that refer to what the dads are up to and what the girls are up to? Or does it refer to the games Sutton used to play. Did a lying game 16 years ago cause what we're seeing now? (btw, I'm really liking switched at birth, but I accidentally mix the two shows up in my head sometimes. I love that Native American dude is in both a switched at birth show and a separated at birth show. I hate that it can make things confusing)

Damn hot guy for mixing us all up!
I thought affair too, but this seems way to scheme-y for an affair...

I watched the first episode last night since it was about to expire from hulu. I don't know about this one, does it get more interesting? I like PLL because it seems like what would happen if the Lost writers did a teenage murder mystery.

I find it fun to watch. Not as fun as PLL but fun enough to distract me for a hour!

I like how Sutton's plan is just for Emma to think hard about memories and that will be all they need to find their mum.
Yay Laurel for taking the blame.
Derrrr Char, it's such a classic Gossip Girl plot line with the lack of communication and an interfering ex-friend.
Why doesn't Sutton come home and they both go to her parents and Mad's dad and say "So, there are two of us, what the hell?" and wait for someone to explain?

You guys, if you just would've told me that Nathan from Heroes is the Evil God Father, I would've been right on the train!
And then in the third episode there was sap and I was like, eh.
