I'm newish to wearing makeup and am looking for a great primer that would wear well with mineral makeup. I prefer something natural but will take anything that works well and is affordable.

I think Urban Decay Primer Potion can be seen as "affordable" because it will literally last forever! When you can't get anymore product out, remove the white stopper and then when it has seemingly be exhausted through that - saw the bottle in half and scope the innards into a small jar.

I'm all about Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Way better packaging than the Urban Decay primer and it works just as well for me. It's $17 for a tube but I've been using mine for at least 6 months now and have barely made a dent. A little goes a long way.

Paint, in Bare Canvas(in the little tube), by MAC makes your eyeshadow stay for days!

I like UDPP in "Sin", and I also like Bare Minerals' eye primer as well.

Just tried to order from e.l.f and the shipping to Canada is crazy expensive. I guess I'll hit up Sephora and look into 2 Faced and Urban Decay. I'm kinda annoyed at how much some companies charge to ship to Canada . I do a lot of mailorder and I know it doesn't cost 16$ to ship a tube of makeup , even with the mailer.

I don't *think* so, here are the ingredients per Too Faced's website - Isododecane,Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Glyceryl Triethylhexanoate, Polyethylene, Trihydroxystearin, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Isopropyl Lanolate, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Propylene Carbonate, Dimethicone, PEG-40 Stearate, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopherol. (+/-): Mica, Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499).

Grrr, I saw the bunny on the package (no animal testing) and didn't think twice. That is seriously disappointing.

I guess UDPP isn't vegan either since it's similar formula as Shadow Insurance? The Sin UDPP is included in their vegan palette . . . maybe the regular nude isn't?

Why not do research before posting things like this. Really ill informed posts make for pages of unnecessary questions. Like I said I use the $3 ELF one and top it off with MACs 'soft ochre' paint pot...my color stays put all day!

UDPP's vegan-ness isn't really an unnecessary question. Urban Decay marks the vegan items on their website, and none of the primer potions have the paw print.

Sorry like amandabear said - I didn't see the vegan designation on the website and a very quick (admittedly not thorough) search didn't yield anything definitive . . .

Actually after actually doing research (which means checking the website ingredient list, haha) it seems that the original formula also includes Lanolate AND Beeswax . . . sooo not vegan after all.
Ingredients: Isododecane, Talc, Cyclopentasiloxane, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Trihydroxystearin, Triethylhexanoin, Isopropyl Lanolate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Dimethicone, PEG-40 Stearate, Propylene Carbonate, Phenoxyethanol, Cera Alba (Synthetic Beeswax), Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Propylparaben, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Methicone, Isobutylparaben
The Eden formula is also not vegan. And get this, the Sin UDPP has lanolate too but is included in the vegan eyeshadow palette kit . . . tsk tsk.

OK, this is realllyyy odd. Last year UD came out and said that the UDPP was vegan due to synthetic ingredients, in fact up until now it had the paw print, in stores, I will check today. It was posted on the PPK we were happy! I was so concerned before I wanted to drop my $ I called customer service and asked - who said yup - vegan. Sorry, on my part for the bisque-y confusion (I take vegan cosmetics seriously). I am pissed at UD right now and plan on calling in a bit. I have a product that I believed to be vegan due to their information that is actually not vegan. Origins did this many years ago, you could bring the products they goofed on no matter what stage they were in for a trade in for vegan products. I hope UD steps up.

That's what I have. I bought it a year ago and still have a lot left, but I only use it when I'm doing something fancy with my eyes. Which is rare.

I called UD and I am now emailing a ingredient specialist about the vegan state of primer potion.

Let us know what you find out . . . that's kind of lame if they suddenly changed formulas and hoped vegans wouldn't notice.

I know that as of September it was still being labeled vegan so if they did change formulas it's really recent. But I really don't think they're trying to trick vegans or anything, they do have a page for vegan items when most companies don't go that far and the UDPP isn't on it now.
